Good hunt this week. Finally was able to identify one of the 2 coppers I found thanks to the new scope from John Yorks and help identifying from Gary Miller. Not much to go off and off struck reverse. My second Liberty Cap and oldest US coin, 1794.

Civil War Maine State Staff Officers Coat Button.

Just dug this one this morning. Needs some more cleaning with the toothpick. My oldest find to date and first old button. Back found with shank and both in excellent condition.

Took a short walk on an old railroad path this weekend and dug this Copper Bell bracelet. Made in the 1950-60s. The wife loved it and decided to keep it for herself.

Bell Trading Post got its name from Jack’s wife, whose maiden name was Bell.
The types of jewelry sold by Bell Trading Post included sterling silver, nickel silver, gold, and copper.

Over the years numerous hallmarks were used on items sold by Bell Trading Post and Sunbell. The hallmarks typically included the image of a bell or that of an arrow sign post with a bell sign hanging from it. According to a reader who researched the trademark records, the mark “Bell Jewelry” was first used in 1935.

This firemans badge was found a few weeks ago in Burnham and just this past weekend the other half was found about 60 yards away. It is a Whitehead & Hoag State Fireman's Badge from 1938.

(FUN FACT: I looked this up and sure enough the oldest tunnel in the US is the union canal tunnel in Lebanon, PA built in 1827)

Could this have been an award given to a local fireman? If not, how did it get here? Nonetheless, a very interesting piece.

We've found many tokens over the years but this was our first local token. Still trying to gain more info on this one. We believe it was located in the lot where the embassy fair is held across the street from kish Bank. Anyone got info or pics of this business?

The coins were found at a local old schoolhouse and the relics were found in kish creek on a water hunt. The tag in upper right we believe is a trapper tag. It reads "R.G.FINK LEWISTOWN". The brass "HAWS" stamp we believe was used for bricks made in Hawstone.
