I’m not certain this claim is true. Of course this group provides no evidence for this assertion. Questions include, how much poison did the mouse eat? Which poison was used? How big was the owl?

Owls, hawks, and eagles are dying not from hunters, but from poisoned prey.

When a mouse eats rodent poison and doesn’t die right away, it becomes an easy target for predators. A single poisoned mouse can kill the owl that eats it silently, painfully, and without a trace.

Every year, wildlife centers across the U.S. report hundreds of dead raptors found with rat poison in their system. These are the natural pest controllers of our ecosystems and we’re poisoning them one meal at a time.

⚠️ Skip rodent poison.
Use humane traps or seal entry points instead.
Save the hunters who keep nature in balance.
