Some big news coming.....

Paul had GOSPEL AMBITION: His heart was ablaze to know Jesus, he lived to worship Him. And it was precisely his zeal to worship Jesus that fueled his missions flame to see the nations glorify God for His mercy.

My friends, gospel ambition should give context, meaning and purpose to all of life—it should define our mission, guide our ministries, and shape how we live here and now. There is nothing happening in the world that is more important than the mission of Jesus Christ, this epic and unstoppable story of redemption is the centerpiece of His plan for this age, which means it should be the focal point of all His people....

In this SPRING Edition of Tools-for-the-Task, we pray these resources and tools are a blessing to you as you focus on the mission at hand.

Join us for the 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World. Today, Christians around the world are praying for Muslims in Houston, TX. There are over 3 000 churches in Houston, and an estimated 80,000 Muslims reside in that city. God has answered the prayers of the Church for Muslim people groups to gain access to the gospel. Muslims from around the world now live down the street from many American Christians!

Pray for Muslims in Houston, to be blessed and encouraged in friendship with Christians. Pray for Christian groups living and working in Houston to pursue authentic relationships with their Muslim neighbors and find ways to bless them.

“When it comes to missions in the church, the pastor either holds the key to the front door or holds the padlock.”

While members of a congregation can be a catalyst for missions envisioning, without the engagement of church leaders, mobilizing a church is tough sledding. Even missions pastors and missions teams that operate without buy-in from key church leaders often struggle to build momentum. In most churches, until senior and lead pastors have embraced a missions vision for their churches, missions will likely remain in the margins. So how do we crack the code of pastoral engagement in missions?

Tune in for the newest episode on 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 podcast
"Cracking the Code | How Do I Get My Pastor Engaged in Missions?" with guests Larry Hansen, Missions Pastor and Brian Bell, Senior Pastor of Calvary Murrieta as they share their insights from personal experience.

Strong language! But Missionary David Hosaflook goes on:
“Forgive my candor but I don’t know how else to verbalize what our inaction is communicating. Our problem isn’t fear—but a bigger issue. Christ is not our life. (Philippians 1:21)

We’re self-absorbed. Distracted. Apathetic. Unimpressed at the stunning honor of fulfilling biblical prophecies. Passionate about anything other than the harvest fields of unreached souls—unreached not because they are unreachable, but because we have chosen not to reach them.”

LIKE US, you may react to this description of the Church today as overly dramatic, guilt-producing, or possibly quite harsh toward the Church. However, if we receive the observation as a well needed “poke” or “gut check,” and move beyond our positive or negative emotional response, the challenge has significant merit. Have we become delinquent in taking up the honor of the Great Commission?

After all, if there is something we want to get right, shouldn’t it be the final words of our Lord’s commission to us as His Church?
