One of our crews wrapped up a great job Friday at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. 🇺🇸

They removed 10 dead and hazardous trees and were able to stump grind more than 30 stumps!

It was an honor for our crew to help maintain and preserve the grounds of this sacred place. We’re proud to play a small part in keeping it beautiful and safe for the heroes who served our country and the families who come to remember them.

Big Stump Monday for Mike's Tree Service. This one is going to be more than just a grind. This is from an uprooted tree that we removed from the home after a windstorm a few weeks ago. This job is going to include removing the granite rocks on the lake wall, grinding the stump and the rootball, hauling away all the wood shavings, repositioning all the dirt to its original form while tamping it to support compaction to prevent erosion, replacing the sod, and then placing back the granite rocks. A lot of hard work for this one but we work hard and go above and beyond when it comes to getting customers back to their original condition after a disaster. Ground Hornets!!! Ouch!!

1 unseen challenge we face often during the summer is swarms of ground hornets that pop out of nowhere. Check out these hornets buzzing around the saw when the employee had to drop it and get out the way. The hornets dislike dark colored clothing and loud repetitive buzzing noise like chainsaws. 😩
