Happy Anniversary Joel Mitchell!
Richmond, Kentucky native, Joel Mitchell, loves the auction business so much that he says his cumulative 29 years of service seems to have flown by.
Originally joining our team in January of 1992, he has performed numerous roles. Those roles have encompassed everything from Condition Report Writer to Rollback Driver. In fact, his experience is so diverse he’s the ‘go to’ for almost anything auction related.
Now, as Operations Manager, he uses his experience to help move our team forward as the industry progresses. His days are fast paced, as he also oversees two of our busiest departments…our mechanic shop and reconditioning center.
When asked what industry changes he’s seen during his tenure, Joel says “All processes have changed over the years. The only thing that is the same is physically driving vehicles through the lanes on sale day”.
General Manager, Jason Martin, says “Joel is a huge piece of the ADESA Lexington puzzle. His operational expertise is second to none. He’s given his blood, sweat and tears to this auction and we can’t thank him enough”.
Joel is most likely racing or spending time with family when he isn’t working. Of course, he always looks forward to coming to work, as he states in his well-known mantra, ‘Love your job!’.
