Day 1 of the International Trade Certification: A Global Perspective 🌍🤝

We kicked off our three-day certification at Valvoline Global Operations with an incredible start! Not only did we dive deep into market entry strategies, but we were also honored by a special visit from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).

It was a privilege to welcome Jianying Zhao, General Representative of CCPIT, to the session. Her presence underscored the vital importance of ongoing dialogue and cooperation between global trade entities. Discussing the future of international commerce with such distinguished leadership truly set the tone for the rest of the week.

Guest Speaker Announcement for International Trade Certification: David A. Robeson

As we continue our countdown to the event, we’re proud to highlight David A. Robeson, a highly accomplished trade compliance and logistics professional with decades of experience in global import/export management.

David is a Licensed Customs Broker and an expert in trade compliance, commodity classification, and international logistics strategy. In his current role at E.D. Bullard Company, he leads global import/export operations, overseeing compliance, shipping, and logistics activities across the U.S., Germany, and Singapore. His leadership has helped maintain a flawless compliance record with zero penalties under U.S. regulations.

Beyond industry leadership, David is also dedicated to education. He has spent over a decade teaching logistics and supply chain management through APICS and the Kentucky Community & Technical College System, helping develop the next generation of global trade professionals.

With an MBA and multiple prestigious certifications—including CPIM, CSCP, and Six Sigma Green Belt—David brings both technical expertise and strategic insight to the field of international trade.

His work continues to strengthen global trade systems and inspire future leaders in supply chain management.
