Jazz on the Porch is happening TODAY!

Spend your Sunday afternoon at Talon Winery & Vineyards for Jazz on the Porch featuring Gotcha’ Covered, presented by the Jazz Arts Foundation.

From 3pm to 6pm, enjoy live jazz surrounded by the beautiful Bluegrass countryside, a glass or bottle of Talon w**e, and an easygoing afternoon with friends and family. Gotcha’ Covered features Mark Gardner on keyboard, David Maynard on saxophone, Matt Meighan on bass, and Ben Cantrell on drums.

Jazz on the Porch is FREE and open to the public, so bring your chairs, blankets, picnic, family, friends, and your love of live music! Talon w**e, b**r, and soft drinks are available for purchase inside the w**ery. Outside alcohol is not permitted.

We’re proud to see Talon Winery recognized by the Central Kentucky Audubon Society for the role we’ve played alongside them in helping protect the Henslow’s Sparrow and its habitat.

This conservation story began when members of the Central Kentucky Audubon Society discovered Henslow’s Sparrows nesting in the grasslands at Talon. Together, we set aside five acres of habitat to protect the birds during breeding season. The sparrows successfully nested, and returned the following year, producing two broods.

It’s a powerful reminder that bird conservation and habitat protection can happen right here in Central Kentucky, and that protecting even a small area of the right habitat can make a meaningful difference.

Cheers to Kentucky conservation, protecting wildlife habitat, supporting local ecosystems, and keeping our fields welcoming to the birds that call them home.
