Lexington, when are we supposed to READ?! 📚🎃

Between UK Homecoming, spooky adventures at the Kentucky Horse Park, and the Hollow Haven Wildwood Faire this weekend, our calendars are looking a little full. And our TBRs? Well, those aren’t getting any shorter. 👀

To say we love our romance / s**t book club would be an understatement. For the past nine months, we’ve had the taboo conversations. We’ve explored what we do and don’t like as women. We’ve read books that center the pleasure of women, and we’ve shared plenty of laughs along the way. Thank you to these women for showing up and being vulnerable with us each month! Here’s to more spice 🌶️🎉

✨ OUR FINAL GIVEAWAY TO CELEBRATE 1K ✨

Before we get to the prizes: thank you to the thousand of you that have chosen to follow along with Magpie Collective on Instagram. We started this just under a year ago, and we’ve had so much fun building this community, trying new things, partnering with local businesses, and meeting so many of you. Thank you for showing up, sharing our posts, coming to events, telling your friends, and supporting the concept of soft socializing.

So, to show our appreciation, we’re giving away a brand-new, 24-piece Lenox Spice Village set AND a vintage Coach bag. ✨

The Spice Village has been part of Magpie since the beginning - twe connected almost immediately over our shared love of tiny things, whimsy, and having things around simply because they make us smile.

Similarly, the vintage Coach bag, curated by , represents our collective love of treasure hunting and giving new life to old things.

Lastly, two things we’ve learned from this giveaway series...

1. We desperately need a team photo.
2. America’s solution to not having one was apparently to arrange us into the shape of Kentucky. Graphic design coursework may be next.

On Saturday Nov. 7th, Magpie Collective Lexington and The Finer Things Book Club ⋆˚𖤓˖° are popping at Lexington, KY Brewery | Blue Stallion Brewing Co. in Lexington to throw the fantasy party of our dreams! We’ll have JMFA🐞, Permanently Bejeweled | Permanent Jewelry, Enchanted Skies Emporium, lish and more on site, plus books, crafts, and a costume contest. A little sparkle, a little coffee, a whole lot of Dolly 💖✨

We had the sweetest time celebrating with y’all — complete with flash tattoos, Dolly-themed snack mix, coffee, rhinestones, books, and some new faces we were so happy to meet.

Even better - together, we raised $150 for Fayette Education Foundation’s Imagination Library chapter! 📚
We’ll be raising funds through next September with a goal of supporting 30 local kids through Imagination Library.

Thank you to everyone who came out, donated, dressed up, grabbed a tattoo, made something sparkly, or laughed with us. This is exactly the kind of bookish community we want Magpie to be!

READIN’, RHINESTONES, & DOLLY IS TOMORROW!

We’ve been getting everything ready, and tomorrow night at Doodles Breakfast and Lunch is going to be so fun!

We’ll be crafting while testing our Dolly knowledge, drinking coffee the way she liked it, and promoting literacy all at the same time.
