Magpie Collective Lexington Magpie Collective is a women-owned creative collective rooted in community, curiosity, and care.

Through pop-ups, a traveling book cart, and creative gatherings, we create welcoming spaces to slow down, make things, share ideas, and belong. We believe in setting the table for one another– one in which everyone belongs and imagination, creativity, learning, and community can flourish.

Hard to believe we just wrapped up our fourth month of Doodles After Dark, our spicy romance book club! had an idea and was ready to help execute it, and it’s been so fun to see it all come together. We have people who had never met before book club going out to dinner together, and when we packed up and left today, people were still mingling in the parking lot. 🥹 We love this little Lexington community!

This booth has become the perfect excuse for the three of us to spend the occasional morning together, playing with space, styling, and staging. We don’t really have walls — you can literally use it to cut between aisles, and there’s a giant pole in the middle of it. You can see other booths from pretty much every angle. The space is… quirky (and carries a lot of potential, like us 😏).

When we’re all three together in the space, it feels a bit like stepping onto the life-size chess board in Harry Potter — figuring out what fits where, seeing things from each other’s perspectives, and trying not to break anything (or caring when we do).

It’s also been a fun way to learn more about one another. Every time, we catch little corners, pathways, and details from different angles — both of the booth and of each other and how to work well together. ❤️
