Phil Greer is a Partner of White Oak Commercial Real Estate, and the current CEO of Greer Companies, a family-owned hospitality and real estate development company. Phil has over 45 years of experience with real estate development projects in the areas of retail, hotel, restaurant, and residential development. Phil graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1969 where he was a former defensive cornerback and earned his degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. After graduation, he was commissioned 2nd Lt. in the US Army. He went on to earn a Master’s degree from Georgetown College, and his Rank II from Eastern Kentucky University. Phil taught and coached at Tates Creek High School from 1969 - 1986. In the early 1970s, he formed a real estate partnership with a fellow coach and began development projects as a sideline to his teaching career. He has significant expertise in the restaurant industry as a former franchisee of Shoney’s, Fazoli’s, and Cheddar’s restaurants, and is the current franchisor of Taco Tico. He is also a franchisee operator of several hotels which are flagged under the Hilton, Marriott, and Holiday Inn umbrellas. Phil is married to his college sweetheart, Mary McBrayer Greer. They have three children, and seven grandchild.
