I posted this back when they first introduced this insanity, and the fact that it’s even on a ballot is disturbing.

Somehow, enough people have been convinced that this is the right direction, and that’s what concerns me most. To me, this goes far beyond politics—it’s about fundamental freedoms, traditions, and the ability to provide food for your family.

I could never support a law that tells law-abiding citizens they no longer have the right to hunt, fish, or harvest their own food. You’d have to drag me to jail kicking and screaming before I would ever accept being told I can’t hunt or fish.

I’ve always said that if there was one issue that could divide this country like never before, it would be an attempt to take away those rights. In my view, this is every bit as serious as attacking gun rights—if not more so—because it goes directly after a person’s ability to feed themselves and their family.

Hunting and fishing aren’t just hobbies to millions of Americans. They’re a way of life, a tradition passed down through generations, and a source of food. That’s something worth standing up for.
