Most people do not regularly hire private investigators and seeking out a private investigator and selecting the best investigator can sometimes be a daunting and confusing task. Here are some things you should consider when selecting an investigator:
License: make sure your private investigator is fully licensed, bonded and insured!
It's a Business: make sure the investigator has a legitimate business and can provide you reasonable and comparable rates for services.
Experience: Make sure who you intend to hire has experience in the area of investigation you are needing.
Education: Verify the private investigator has education relevant to your needs. It wouldn't do any good to have someone who has education in French to investigate domestic relations issues.
Intangible Considerations: Finally, make sure the PI you want to hire understands YOUR needs and isn't just trying to sell you!
