Temperature swings are when we start to see more rodent activity. They will take advantage of any opening or access point to your attic. Rodent boxes on the outside are best at keeping them out. This is the first time I ever had one eat so much poison in a box that he died in it.

Whitefly is back and hitting Ficus as hard as ever. If you have Ficus trees or hedges you need to have them treated for infestation ASAP. This hedge is on a 3 month maintenance treatment and it did nothing to stop the infestation. Request your lawn company to treat at full rate, not quarterly rate. University of Florida will be from Miami to Palm Beach testing to see if the insects have developed immunity to pesticides in the coming weeks. Let's hope it is just a blip, but get them done.

Update...
6 days ago I told everyone about a new mosquito product. Look at all the dead Mosquito Larva in less than a week. This is why we can leave the door open now when we let the dogs out.

So it seems to be that time of year again. Family vacations are over, kids are home from college, and someone in the house is getting bitten by something.... but nobody else is!!!
Guess what, you may have bedbugs and I don't care how much you spent on that 5* hotel or what it's name is. Many times you have no idea and unless you do this for a living, you probably will not ever see one as the little buggers are smart at hiding and difficult to find.
Moreover, regardless of what you read on the internet, you CANNOT get rid of them without a professional pest control technician with ALOT of experience. Over the counter chemicals, diatomaceous earth, and natural oils don't eliminate the bugs and eggs. Believe it or not they are likely more dangerous than what your pest professional will use!

"Rodent Tracking Powder"
Why is it important to choose a knowledgeable, responsible pest control company and not pick the cheapest person you can find.
For the past 3 weeks I have been experiencing the effects of a chemical burn. Now imagine how you would feel if you sent your child into the attic to get your holiday decorations and 4 days later his entire body started breaking out with blisters. Most likely anyone who came into contact with the decorations will also because you had a pest operator illegally spread "Rodent Tracking Powder" all over your attic. This chemical is dangerous....., NEVER allow anyone to use it in your home. I have never seen it used correctly, and more importantly, even when someone like me who understands what to look for it can be missed after time.

Another attic fogging for drywood termites. Just another day in paradise!
Not all drywood termite issues end with tenting. In some cases a good fogging can eliminate the problem.
