MEET KYLE MORGAN
Kyle Morgan served over 20 years in the Army, starting as an infantryman before becoming a Green Beret, and later serving in the Army’s Special Missions Unit- specializing in hostage rescue.
“Before retiring, I knew I wanted to use my experience to help law enforcement and private citizens build the confidence to respond to Active Shooter situations across the country. Starting Blu Bearing, and developing the Protector Mindset, has allowed me to continue to serve and sharpen the skills of others.”
THE TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
“I love training, but the most important aspect is to establish a standard and have a plan every time you step foot on the range or inside a shoot house. If you don’t, there’s no way to track progress, hold yourself accountable, and become a better protector.”
THE TAKEAWAY
Since Blu Bearing’s inception, Kyle has trained over 2,000 students, ranging from armed teachers in the Protector Mindset, to Federal Response Teams in Hostage Rescue.
“Regardless of the course, I want each student to leave each day with one tangible thing they can take away. If they can implement those things into their own training plan, they will continue to become more competent outside of the classroom. It can be shooting, moving, communicating, etc. but the point is to continue to push yourself and those around you.”
THE MINDSET
“The Protector Mindset begins with taking ownership. Your safety, your family, and the people you care about are your responsibility. Love for others remains at the core, and it extends to the innocent and those who cannot protect themselves. A protector is willing to put themselves in harm’s way to protect another, whether it be to safeguard their minds, bodies, or spirits. We need more people willing to step up, take responsibility, and show others what right looks like.”
