Katie Price says her son Junior, 18, is 'embarrassed' of her clothing choices and 'filthy' language before taking a swipe at ex Peter Andre
Katie Price has claimed her son Junior is 'embarrassed' by her behaviour as she admitted he doesn't like her clothing choices or 'filthy' language.
The former glamour model, 45, made the claims while appearing on on her new podcast, The Katie Price Show, which she hosts with her sister Sophie.
During the episode, Katie also took a swipe at her ex-husband Peter Andre, 50, who she shares son Junior and daughter Princess, 16, with.
Katie discussed the their family's time on reality TV, including her ITV series with Peter, which followed their home life with their kids.
Sophie quizzed Katie on how she felt about being 'done dirty' in post-production.
She said: 'I never watched it back, I didn't really get involved in the editing, so I didn't really care.
'Hence the last series I did with an ex husband [Peter] it was the management who edited it and made me look like a cow.'
Katie was then asked by sister Sophie: 'Be honest do you think your children are embarrassed of you?'
Katie replied: 'Junior can be. But I've explained to Junior you can't change who I am. I am where I am because I am different-minded.
'I'm not boring I don't hold back, I live in the moment and some of my dress choices if I go on a red carpet or because I'm filthy-minded, I think that can embarrass him.
'Because he's quite reserved Junior.'
Sophie interjected: 'However I do think you have become more mindful of that and you are more aware of it than what you used to be.'
Katie quipped: 'But that's therapy that's taught me that.'
The mother of five has previously revealed she believes she is the more relaxed parent and prefers when her children act 'feral'.
Peter recently revealed he has put his foot down over allowing his daughter Princess to bring a boyfriend on holiday with them.
The singer admitted he was unsure if he would allow it because he doesn't want his two younger children 'seeing their older siblings bring other people'.
Peter also admitted he feels 'anxious' thinking about his eldest daughter Princess sharing a room with her boyfriend if he were to join them on holiday.
Speaking to The Sun, he said: 'It's an interesting one. It would have to be a long-term relationship for me to pay for a partner of one of my kids to come on holiday with us. I have two young kids, I don't want them just seeing older siblings bringing people along.
'My main question is where are they going to stay? I don't want them staying in the same room!
'It might be a different story if it's a long-term relationship. It's a good question… I got anxious thinking about it.'
It comes after the Mysterious Girl hitmaker revealed that he has 'strict rules' for Princess and her first boyfriend - who has not yet had a sleepover with her beau in his home, he added.
He said his stipulations are 'very straight forward' and he hopes they will set a good example to his younger children Amelia, nine, and Theo, six.
He explained that 'everyone knows' his three simple requests for boyfriends or girlfriends as he explained they must 'be downstairs, the doors are open and its daytime'.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline to help launch On the Beach's Summer Sun Report, Peter opened up about his tips for parenting a teen romance.
He said: 'Any parenting tips or rules are only as good as they are in your house. My rules in my house are very straightforward. Everyone knows them, it's not even a question.
'With boyfriends or girlfriends, it's downstairs, doors are open and it's daytime. Down the line if there is a sleepover, one can sleep downstairs.
'We have younger children too and you don't want them seeing things. If the relationship ends and then you bring someone else in, it doesn't look right and as far as the little kids are concerned it's always a friend is over.
'I have strict rules when it comes to that but like I said, downstairs, doors open and daytime.'
Peter is also father to son Junior, 18, with ex-wife Katie Price and has daughter Amelia and son Theo with wife Emily MacDonagh. See less

Katie Price slammed by fans as she reveals how many calories she eats in a day in order to 'shift some extra pounds'
Katie Price has been slammed by fans after she revealed the amount of calories she eats in a day.
The mother-of-five, 45, has said she wants to 'shift some extra pounds' took to TikTok with a new video and said she eats a 'total of 755 calories a day'.
She tucked into Skinny Foods porridge and coffee for breakfast, a wrap for lunch, chicken curry that she opted out of rice for dinner and finished with a sweet treat.
The video saw her daughter Bunny, nine, join in on her diet food as she could be seen eating the protein wrap and zero calorie mayonnaise.
According to the NHS the recommended daily calorie intake is 2,000 calories a day for women and 2,500 for men, but Katie opted for less than half of the intake.
In the voiceover, Katie said: 'Another example of how you can eat so many delicious meals and snacks in the day.
'All of this was only 755 calories and helping me stay in a calorie deficit to shift some extra pounds when needed.
'The kids love the products too! If I have a bad day I like to go in a calorie deficit to ensure it’s not a bad week!'
Fans were quick to comment on Katie's choice of diet and eating so little and slammed her for encouraging her daughter to do the same.
One viewer wrote: 'This right here is the problem with society no wonder so many children have issues when you have condoning 800 calories a day!'
Another said: 'Glorifying under 800 calories in a day! Going to make people ill.'
One user added: 'Wow that’s really low calories. I hope you aren’t doing this regularly surely it’s not enough?!'
'Horrendous. Basically all fluids. Processed. And probably tasteless. Cook some veg and meat properly instead,' another viewer said.
'It’s not good, sorry.. and a calorie deficit like that you will just put it back on.. up your calories to 1700 exercise and eat healthy.. hope this helps because this won’t x'
It comes after Katie revealed the real reason she's leaving her Mucky Mansion makeover show after two series.
Katie starred in a Channel 4 series which followed her attempts to transform her £2million property after it fell into disrepair.
But Katie has now revealed that she fears the West Sussex property gives her 'bad luck' and wants to move out of the home despite ploughing money into renovations.
It comes following reports that the bankrupt star is fighting to save her mansion in an upcoming court appearance after facing questions about her finances.
Katie shared her plans to move out of her home on her podcast with her sister Sophie, admitting that despite her woes it's always been a 'good family home'.
She said: 'I'm still thinking of renting it, it's just too big for me. I'm always up in Essex at the minute. I want to get something smaller. I don't know.
'I just think this house gives me bad luck. It's such a good family home but it is too big for me. It's more of an excuse for the kids to make a mess.' See less

Katie Price reveals she banned her daughter Bunny's classmates from attending her birthday party after a feud with mums at the school gate: 'They've always judged me!'
Katie Price has revealed she banned her daughter Bunny's classmates from attending her birthday party after becoming embroiled in a feud with their mums.
The reality star, 45, claimed that she was 'always judged' by the other parents at the school gates, and decided that their children couldn't come to Bunny's mermaid-themed bash.
Speaking on her podcast with sister Sophie Price, Katie added that she's planning to do the same for her son Jett's birthday party, as she feels the other mums have always 'misjudged' her.
She said: 'I haven't organised the party yet, his party is on Saturday.
'He needs to give his friends notice because he will be disheartened if they don't go, and not only that, for Bunny's I only invited people where I know the mums.'
She continued: 'I don't want school mums I don't know, especially with their school, with what's going on, I don't want them in my house and them judging me, when they have judged me all along and got it wrong.
'And it's just having people in your house. The thing with the tepees is the kids can stay overnight, but luckily they didn't want to stay overnight, they had things and I thought yes.'
Katie previously shared a glimpse of Bunny's mermaid-themed party after she turned nine on August 4, including teepees she set up in case the kids wanted to sleep over.
Posting a clip of the celebration on TikTok, she shared she'd organised the birthday bash in just one hour.
She wrote: 'Bunny's reaction at the end. We transformed my living room into a mermaid-themed party in just ONE HOUR for Bunny's 9th Birthday today.'
Katie shares Bunny and Jett with her ex-husband Kieran Hayler, who she married in 2013 before splitting in 2018. Their divorce was finalised three years later.
The star recently claimed her son Junior is 'embarrassed' by her behaviour as she admitted he doesn't like her clothing choices or 'filthy' language.
Speaking on her podcast, Katie also took a swipe at her ex-husband Peter Andre, 50, who she shares son Junior and daughter Princess, 16, with.

Princess Andre shares her future career plans after revealing she 'didn't pass all' of her GCSE exams
Princess Andre has revealed what she plans to do for a career after sharing she 'didn't pass all' of her GCSE exams.
The daughter of Katie Price and Peter Andre, 16, live-streamed herself finding out that she had passed three out of seven of her GCSEs earlier this month.
Now, Princess has taken to her Instagram Stories to share what she is planning to do now she has left school, admitting she is 'excited' about her next steps.
In a Q&A on Friday, Princess - who is already signed to fashion brand PrettyLittleThing - told how she plans to do social media and beauty training.
When asked what her plans are, she replied: 'I'll be doing social media and private beauty training xx sooooo excited.'
Elsewhere in the 'ask me anything' Q&A, Princess was also asked if she was going to 'get anything done' when she turned 18 years old in two years time.
To which Princess replied: 'Surgery wise no, I would stay natural x.'
She has previously told how she doesn't see herself going down the same cosmetic procedure route as her former glamour model mother Katie when she is older.
It comes after Princess revealed her GCSE results in a live-streamed Instagram video alongside her singer father Peter, 50, earlier this month.
She told fans she had passed three of her seven exams, after failing to obtain higher than a grade four in the other subjects.
Princess explained that you need to achieve at least a grade four in order to pass the exam, while the highest mark possible is a nine.
In the video, her father Peter told her he was so proud of her for 'working her butt off' ahead of the exams.
Princess said: 'I didn't pass all of them, but it's fine, because I passed some of them! Apparently grade boundaries were really high this year.'
Peter said: 'I'm proud of you, I think you worked your butt off. You know what, you worked really hard. saw you working hard, which to me is more important.'
Princess revealed she received a 3 in business; a 3 in drama; a 5 in English; a 6 in fashion; a 4 in music; a 3 in geography and a 3 in maths.
Reflecting on her marks, she said: 'I need to resit maths. I got 89 but I needed 98 out of 200 to pass maths. I think a four is a C.'
Peter - who also shares son Junior, 18, with ex-wife Katie - reiterated: 'I can't speak for every parent, but seeing you work hard is all I need. Look what you got in English!'
Princess: 'I was bottom set so the best mark you can get is a 5.'
Before she received her examination results, Peter took a video outside her school as she waited for her friends to arrive to enter the school together.
Peter asked Princess: 'How are you feeling?', as she replied 'fine!' See less

Coronation Street's Tracy Shaw, 52, reveals she was rushed to A&E after suffering horrible chemotherapy side effects amid breast cancer battle: 'I have no strength left'
An emotional Tracy Shaw said she has 'no strength left' after being rushed to A&E after struggling with horrible side effects from chemotherapy.
The Coronation Street actress, 52, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in April, revealed she was home alone before having to turn to her neighbour for help.
Tracy gave an update on Instagram on Sunday, 10 days after completing her round of chemotherapy.
While she was assured by doctors she was ok and also given more medication, Tracy fought back tears as she revealed she 'feels as vulnerable as a baby'.
The actress said she had cream all over her face as she was suffering from thrush and also has had terrible bouts of diarrhoea.
She said: 'Being day 10, my son had to go to a wedding. I thought I'd be absolutely fine at home alone but I had to go to A&E today.
'There's no strength left. In my head, I thought there may be a break, maybe a week after chemotherapy.'
Tracy said she is struggling to eat anything and her diet consists of six eggs, plain crisps and bread.
Talking about the side effects she experienced, Tracy continued: 'These are the effects that the chemo has had on the body. The chemo kills everything, including the lining of my stomach. There is no strength.
'It feels like I'm as vulnerable as a baby. It's very difficult being around people, around noises. [My ears], they're so sensitive.'
Fans rushed to the comment section to share their support: 'Tracy you are incredible darling, sending you so much love and strength. You are so strong even if you don’t feel it, you are! Such an amazing lady. Thank you for sharing your journey.'
'Sending huge amounts of Belper love Tracy. Your posts are hard hitting to watch but so incredibly raw, brave and honest. Thank you for sharing and sending positive vibes.'
'Sending a huge virtual hug your way x Keep going lovely lady... We're all sending you so much love x'.
Tracy played Maxine Peacock on Corrie from 1995 to 2003, before she was murdered by serial killer Richard Hillman.
She had previously shared that doctors told her she would need chemotherapy after tests revealed she has HER2 in her cells.
HER2 is a protein that promotes cancer cell growth and is found in more aggressive types of the disease.
The actress added that after a course of chemotherapy, she hoped to have surgery to remove lumps and lymph glands, so more tests can be done, which could lead to further surgery before radiotherapy.
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world and affects more than two MILLION women a year
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world. Each year in the UK there are more than 55,000 new cases, and the disease claims the lives of 11,500 women. In the US, it strikes 266,000 each year and kills 40,000. But what causes it and how can it be treated?
What is breast cancer?
It comes from a cancerous cell which develops in the lining of a duct or lobule in one of the breasts.
When the breast cancer has spread into surrounding tissue it is called 'invasive'. Some people are diagnosed with 'carcinoma in situ', where no cancer cells have grown beyond the duct or lobule.
Most cases develop in those over the age of 50 but younger women are sometimes affected. Breast cancer can develop in men, though this is rare.
Staging indicates how big the cancer is and whether it has spread. Stage 1 is the earliest stage and stage 4 means the cancer has spread to another part of the body.
The cancerous cells are graded from low, which means a slow growth, to high, which is fast-growing. High-grade cancers are more likely to come back after they have first been treated.
What causes breast cancer?
A cancerous tumour starts from one abnormal cell. The exact reason why a cell becomes cancerous is unclear. It is thought that something damages or alters certain genes in the cell. This makes the cell abnormal and multiply 'out of control'.
Although breast cancer can develop for no apparent reason, there are some risk factors that can increase the chance, such as genetics.
What are the symptoms of breast cancer?
The usual first symptom is a painless lump in the breast, although most are not cancerous and are fluid-filled cysts, which are benign.
The first place that breast cancer usually spreads to is the lymph nodes in the armpit. If this occurs you will develop a swelling or lump in an armpit.
How is breast cancer diagnosed?
Initial assessment: A doctor examines the breasts and armpits. They may do tests such as a mammogram, a special X-ray of the breast tissue which can indicate the possibility of tumours.
Biopsy: A biopsy is when a small sample of tissue is removed from a part of the body. The sample is then examined under a microscope to look for abnormal cells. The sample can confirm or rule out cancer.
If you are confirmed to have breast cancer, further tests may be needed to assess if it has spread. For example, blood tests, an ultrasound scan of the liver or a chest X-ray.
How is breast cancer treated?
Treatment options which may be considered include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormone treatment. Often a combination of two or more of these treatments are used.
Surgery: Breast-conserving surgery or the removal of the affected breast depending on the size of the tumour.
Radiotherapy: A treatment which uses high energy beams of radiation focused on cancerous tissue. This kills cancer cells, or stops them from multiplying. It is mainly used in addition to surgery.
Chemotherapy: A treatment of cancer by using anti-cancer drugs which kill cancer cells, or stop them from multiplying.
Hormone treatments: Some types of breast cancer are affected by the 'female' hormone oestrogen, which can stimulate the cancer cells to divide and multiply. Treatments which reduce the level of these hormones, or prevent them from working, are commonly used in people with breast cancer.
How successful is treatment?
The outlook is best in those who are diagnosed when the cancer is still small, and has not spread. Surgical removal of a tumour in an early stage may then give a good chance of cure.
The routine mammography offered to women between the ages of 50 and 71 means more breast cancers are being diagnosed and treated at an early stage. See less

Mungo Jerry star Ray Dorset, 80, reveals he was rushed to hospital days after undergoing surgery and says staff began to sing his iconic hit
Mungo Jerry star Ray Dorset has revealed he was rushed to hospital in Bournemouth following a recent surgery.
The singer, 80, rose to fame as a member of the band which recorded the hit song In The Summertime back in 1970.
Sharing a health update on X, Ray praised the NHS staff for taking such good care of him, but then revealed the hilarious moment they began singing his famous song.
He said: 'Once again I have been taken by ambulance to Bournemouth hospital following my recent surgery.
'A few minutes ago whilst laying on my back awaiting an ultrasound scan I could hear a few nurses singing In The Summertime.
'I said to myself ''Oh no I have been recognised,'' but I have to admit that I began chuckling despite the discomfort. What a day!'
Fans of Ray shared their well-wishes for him in the comments, writing: 'Hope you are feeling better soon mate, and more to the point that they get to the root cause. Great to see that that song is still alive and kicking after all these years!'
'I too love the song; wishing you all the best!'
'Wishing you a speedy recovery.'
In The Summertime, Mungo Jerry's biggest ever hit, sold six million copies in the first six months after it was released in 1970.
Ray is yet to share further details on his surgery, but he has previously spoken about struggling with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) while touring with the band.
He later shared an update on his health, writing: 'Thanks again so much for all of the good wishes.
'I got back from the hospital in the early hours of this morning, & I have to be back tomorrow morning.'
'All of the staff at the hospital could not have been nicer so massive thanks to all of the staff at the Bournemouth Hospital.'
Mungo Jerry had nine singles make the charts in the UK, including two number ones – In the Summertime and Baby Jump.
While the group has had several lineup changes, Ray has been a consistent member of the band throughout its history.
Ray has previously shared that In The Summertime has earned him 'silly money' in royalties over the years, even though it only took 10 minutes to write.
He told The Daily Mail in 2018: 'That one song which I wrote in just ten minutes, has never gone out of fashion, and been covered by so many artistes, even Billy Idol and Slash [the former Guns N' Roses guitarist].
'Actually, I've never consciously written a hit song and I still can't believe how much of a money-spinner it has been, but I'm not complaining - it's one of those songs that just keeps giving.
'The royalties from songs still roll in – thankfully, it's always summer somewhere in the world!' See less

Molly-Mae Hague breastfeeds her newborn son as she shares sweet family photos from their first few days at home
Molly-Mae Hague shared a sweet snap breastfeeding her newborn son as she gave a new update on Instagram on Monday evening.
The influencer, 27, announced she'd welcomed a baby boy last week as she posted a sweet video of her daughter Bambi, three, meeting her new little brother.
Now in a new update, Molly gushed that she 'can't believe she has two children' as she enjoyed some family time at their £4.75 million Cheshire home.
Molly couldn't contain her smile as she breastfed her son, who she has not revealed the name of yet, while partner Tommy Fury cuddled their daughter Bambi on the sofa.
She wrote: 'Family of four!!! I can't believe I have two children'.
Another photo showed the boxer beaming as their baby boy peacefully slept on his chest, Molly penned: 'A perfect first week with you'.
Following welcoming their second child at a hospital in London, Molly was seen carrying her baby boy, who was dressed in blue, in a car seat out of the hospital.
She looked incredible in a navy T-shirt which she teamed with matching wide legged trousers and wrote: 'A BOY MUM! I'm new here'.
Elsewhere in the photo dump, Molly revealed that she and Tommy had found out the gender of their child at the start of her pregnancy.
The couple and daughter Bambi looked thrilled as Tommy popped a balloon which exploded with blue confetti, she penned: 'Just the luckiest'.
'Nearly 9 months on from finding out we'd been blessed with a boy... and I still can't believe it', she added.
Over the weekend, the couple, who met on Love Island, shared a video of Tommy bringing Bambi to the hospital, before the toddler sweetly got to hold him.
As Molly-Mae asked: 'Do you like him?' Bambi sweetly said 'yes.' She captioned the clip: 'There’s your little brother'.
Molly and Tommy's celebrity pals took to the comment section to send their congratulations.
Molly's sister Zoe wrote: 'Me and mum wearing blue to the baby shower was actually a COMPLETE accident too!!. I am so happy he’s absolutely perfect.'
TOWIE's Samantha Faiers added: 'Congratulations so beautiful' and Holly Hagan, who also recently gave birth, typed: 'Awww congratulations so special'.
It comes after Tommy was said to be 'devastated' after being forced to leave his family and return to training camp a day after she gave birth.
The boxer flew back to Manchester via private jet on Thursday less than 24 hours after Molly had given birth to their second child.
The couple were pictured reunited on Sunday as they attended a church service with their children.
He is set to fight against retired strongman Eddie Hall on June 13.
A source told The Sun: 'He flew back up to Manchester yesterday.
'He’s absolutely devastated but his fight is less than two weeks away so he knows he has to do it. He needs to focus on his training.
'Molly is upset too but she’s surrounded by family so she’s good and she understands why he has to do it.'
Molly-Mae announced she had given birth on Wednesday by sharing a series of sweet snaps but chose to keep their newborn's name and gender under wraps.
She captioned the update: '…. and then there were 4.' Their daughter Bambi looked overjoyed as she met her younger sibling for the first time at the hospital, while sporting her Miffy T-shirt over another top.
One fan penned: 'If she's a girl I reckon she's Miffy x,' while another added: 'I think Miffy,' with a bunny emoji attached to the comment.
Other guesses included Moon, Dusk, Dream, Cloud and Bunny.
Since Bambi's arrival, Tommy frequently pays tribute to his daughter through his boxing garb – including his shorts and zip-up.
Molly said last month: 'I've been designing Tommy's shorts for his fight and I'm thinking about potentially putting I don't know if we're going like I don't cuz I don't know what the timeline's going to be...
'I'm thinking do I put the name of baby number two on his fight shorts?...
'Because he always has Bambi's name on his fight shorts, and I don't want to like leave the second baby off.
'But also maybe that's how we announce the name is on his fight shorts. That would actually be quite cool. Fight on the 13th [of June] with Eddie Hall. So we've got a lot to look forward to guys. There's a lot coming up in the next few weeks.'
Back in 2023, ahead of welcoming their daughter Bambi, Molly-Mae elected to be induced so Tommy could be at the birth.
Tommy fought YouTuber Jake on February 26 in Saudi Arabia, after pulling out twice before, once with a rib injury in December 2021 and another due to visa issues in August.
In a YouTube vlog detailing her birth story at the time, Molly-Mae told how they made a huge birth decision so they had a 'rough understanding' of Bambi's arrival ahead of the fight. See less

Perrie Edwards reveals she had 'serious breakdowns' after 'hellish' split from ex fiancé Zayn Malik and claims there was 'overlap' with someone else as she addresses Pillowtalk music video
Perrie Edwards has revealed she had 'serious breakdowns' after her 'hellish' split from her ex fiancé Zayn Malik.
In a fairytale girl band-boy band romance, the Little Mix star, 32, dated the former One Direction star Zayn, 33, from 2011 till 2015.
The couple announced their engagement in August 2013, both aged 20, yet their love bubble was short lived and they announced their split two years later to the month.
Now, over a decade later, Perrie has opened up about the split in her most candid interview yet as she admitted there was an 'overlap' between Zayn ending things and being involved with someone else and referenced his first solo music video Pillowtalk, which featured Gigi Hadid.
Appearing on the latest episode of Jamie Laing's Great Company podcast, the host asked Perrie what the hardest part of being in Little Mix was.
Perrie explained: 'I think our personal lives being everywhere. Like that was a lot. And it was a lot to deal with because it wasn't normal.'
Delving into the heartbreak the star went on: 'Like when you go through heartbreak, it is hellish. It's the worst thing in the world. You can't eat. You can't sleep. You feel horrendous.
'You feel abandoned and you don't feel good enough and you feel like you've been left for something better or whatever it is.
'And then what makes it even worse is, I felt like the world was then looking at me, laughing at me.
'Not my fans, my fans were like, "we love you, we'll fight your corner no matter what." But I felt embarrassed. I felt horrified. It was awful.'
Jamie asked: 'How do you stay sane through that?' as Perrie confessed: 'I didn't. I had like serious breakdowns.
'Because it wasn't just the heartbreak I was dealing with. I was dealing with everybody looking at me and I felt ridiculed. I just couldn't cope with it.
'I hated it. I was breaking down in performances, which isn't like me at all. I was breaking down. I was crying constantly. I think I was depressed.
'And I know it sounds ridiculous, but I think it was this plus, this plus, this and everything on top.
'I had to be there for the girls. I had to be switched on. I had to power through for Little Mix, but I also just wanted to be left the f**k alone. But I also was getting followed every two seconds and asked about it 24/7.
'It was everywhere. And it was a lot. And like, this is the thing when people are like, "stop talking about it," I'm like, "but it really affected me."'
As Jamie asked if she thinks the break up affected Zayn as badly, Perrie then revealed that he moved on quicker and there was an 'overlap'.
She candidly explained: 'I need to be careful how I say this, but there was, let's just say there was a bit of a... I'm just going to say it. So there was a bit of an overlap.
'And I think when you're moving on with somebody else you always get on better.
'When you're the one left behind, that's when it's hard because it's like, "Oh s**t, they've left me for someone more beautiful than me, someone better than me."
'Whatever it is, that's how it felt at the time. And then you have a song that they've written about you, but then someone else is in the video.'
After Zayn and Perrie split, he then went on to date model Gigi Hadid, with them first being linked in late 2015 after attending Justin Bieber's American Music Award's after-party.
A source told US Weekly in November 2015 that while they weren't 'boyfriend and girlfriend' yet, they were definitely into each other.
Then when he released his first single, Pillowtalk, the video starred Gigi with the steamy visuals followed by a flirty online exchange, leading many to believe that their friendship was anything but platonic.
Perrie continued: 'It was one thing after the other, after the other. And I remember finding out about that and I just went in and my dad and my brother were at the house at the time and I just moved into my little bungalow in Surrey. So I was trying to get as far away as I could.
'And I just remember finding out about that and it was like the nail in the coffin and I thought this is all getting a bit much and then I started crying my eyes out.
'Then my dad started crying and he was like "I don't know how I can take this pain away" and I'm like "you can't nobody can this is hellish."
'It was really one thing after the other and there's so much that people don't know about that I would never say, even though I've just spilt some beans but there's so much that went into it that I would never talk about that I went through.
'It was real hard. So that's probably why I get a bit frustrated at times.'
Jamie then asked: 'How did it change your understanding of love?'
'It made me realize that that was very unhealthy,' replied Perrie. 'And I mean, you can say it was young puppy love or whatever, and you're like whisked away with it.
'And I think now that I've experienced what healthy love is, with Alex. It's so nice it doesn't make you feel sick to your stomach all the time it doesn't make you feel icky.
'It doesn't make you feel like you're not worthy or you're not good enough or you could be doing everything better and you know it doesn't feel competitive it doesn't feel toxic. Like that's exactly what I would say it was.'
The Daily Mail have contacted Zayn's representatives for comment.
After their split, Zayn went on to date model Gigi, and the pair made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala in 2016.
Perrie previously claimed that Zayn ended their relationship over text message, which he has denied.
He previously told Fader magazine: 'I have more respect for Perrie than to end anything over text message.
'I love her a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that.
'She knows that, I know that, and the public should know that as well. I don't want to explain why or what I did.'
Zayn and Gigi went on to welcome a daughter together, however the pair called it quits in 2021 after Zayn got into an altercation with Gigi's mother Yolanda Hadid.
The singer pleaded no contest to the charges after allegedly pushing his former partner Gigi Hadid's mother into a dresser and calling her a 'f*****g Dutch sl*t' in September 2021.
Meanwhile Perrie got engaged to her fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in 2022 and the pair share son Axel, four, and daughter Alanis, four months. See less
