This has been a fun 1! Framing is my favorite! I actually miss the days where that’s all I did everyday.
This deck was interesting, the decking was warped for some reason…… could have been because the frame was a little crooked …?? lol
Upon demolition of the decking I realized this deck was a little crooked. There were support posts missing, the girder was “1 5/8 out of level, and just a little out of straightness. If you can see the string, that’s where the deck is supposed to be.
Anywho, thankfully they hired the right company to fix this issue.
Once we got the deck leveled out, all the old joists had to be replaced, there was no salvaging them. Not sure how this passed inspection the last time, but she’s in good hands now!!
Don’t forget, landscaping companies do gardens, plumbers do plumbing, home builders, build decks….. hire the right guy for the job . I personally build all my stuff, no subcontractors, no jumping around from Job to job, 1 job at a time, built by the same guy who came out and shook your hand., I might not pump out a ton of jobs this year, but everyone I shake hands with will get the best deck in town hands down. , ,
