What an amazing experience taking a helicopter ride over Kauai… Doors OFF and all!

We started over the beach where they filmed Pirates of the Caribbean, then flew into Jurassic Park territory where I was fully waiting for a T-rex to wave hello.

Next came the canyons, and then the Nā Pali Coast with those jagged green cliffs dropping right into the ocean. Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, a rainbow showed up to say aloha 🌈 We dipped into a canyon with twin waterfalls pouring down, floated over the farmland, and then our pilot Reid brought us back to the ground safe and sound. My heart is so full right now 🌺

Huge mahalo to I Fly Kauai for the most magical private tour. Reid, you are a rockstar pilot and made me feel safe the whole ride. And Auntie, thank you for the safety briefing and all that aloha kindness that calmed my very loud nerves. I came back more connected to my heart center, and a little windblown 😂🚁

Grab a coffee because this is the long version of how I got here ☕

For 25 years I climbed the corporate ladder in sales. With my peers and my teams, I was fully me. But with the people above me, I filtered everything. I was so busy trying to fit in that I didn’t realize how much of myself I was leaving at the door 😂🥹

Then I doubled the company’s revenue and got let go anyway. It turns out that was the best thing that ever happened to me. It finally made me stop quieting the voice I’d been ignoring for years.

If you’ve swiped through my story, you know I spent 25 years climbing the corporate ladder in sales. What I didn’t talk about much back then was how much of myself I left at the door every morning. I was really good at performing. I was not so good at always being me 😂

These days I get to stand on stages and talk about exactly that. My keynote, Switch On Your Light, is all about holding onto our humanity while AI changes the way we work. Because the one thing a machine can’t do is show up as you.

I’m the person who plans every trip, packs everyone’s snacks, and still forgets my allergy pills (but never my progesterone or magnesium, this girl prioritizes her sleep 😂). So Kim and I built a trip where nobody has to be that person. 😂

We’re heading to Sedona February 3 to 7, and we handle literally everything. We’ll stay in a private house in the red rocks with a heated pool and a hot tub for stargazing at night.

There’s a pink jeep ride that will absolutely wreck your hair. You’ll get a mediumship reading with me and one-on-one time with Kim. All the food and w**e are covered, and you won’t wash a single dish.

Four rooms are already booked and there are just 2 left. Come solo or bring your bestie, and tag the friend you’d drag along with you.

This is how we take back our power. When men try to control us and control our narrative, playing small and censoring ourselves because someone is in a position of power is never the answer. Not once.

As Miss Janet Jackson taught us back in ‘86, sometimes you just have to get nasty. 💅

Every time a case like this hits the headlines, someone asks, “But what if she lied? It could ruin his life.” I understand why that question comes up, but I want us to sit with the other side of it for a moment, because if he lied, it has already ruined hers.

A ten-year study of sexual assault reports made to a major university police department found that 5.9% of those reports were classified as false, using strict, official criteria, which means roughly 94 out of every 100 were not. That lines up with the broader research, which places false reports somewhere between 2% and 10%.

And when researchers recently gave 2,689 young men in the U.S. and Canada a fully anonymous survey about times they pursued s*x with a woman they knew did not want it and had not consented, 95.1% of the men surveyed admitted to using at least one tactic to get it anyway, from verbal pressure and isolation to getting her drunk or using physical force, and by their own account it worked most of the time.

I am not speaking to the innocence or guilt of any specific case, including the one in the headlines right now. I am shining a light on the giant issue of SA, especially on college campuses, because my hope is that we finally begin having the dialogue we so badly need, and that survivors feel supported enough and brave enough to speak their truth, whether anyone is ever prosecuted and charged or not.

Speak your truth. Sunshine disinfects, so let it out, and if nothing else, you free yourself from the burden of carrying that heavy weight alone.

Day 28 of 30 on this joy, play and fun challenge.

We celebrated Zara’s birthday early. Watched the Kentucky derby. That always brings back so many memories for me, having gotten to go to the 135th derby! And the FIRST FEMALE trainer won the derby! Yes queen!

And we had to round out the day with going to the Cornhusker college rodeo! It was a freaking blast in a glass! I love rooting on Husker athletes. Well done ✨🤩
