Celebrating 40 Years of News Link!

Forty years ago — on Oct. 28, 1985 — Pete Ringsmuth released the very first edition of The 6600 Burlington Express for the BNSF Havelock Shops in Lincoln, Nebraska. Produced out of his home and distributed weekly, that small newsletter marked the start of something special.

What began as a volunteer effort soon grew into Your News, and by 1989, into News Link — a company dedicated to helping organizations share their stories, connect with their people and celebrate their work.

Today, News Link proudly produces internal and external publications for businesses across the country, still guided by the same purpose that started it all: clear communication, storytelling and connection.

To everyone who has been part of this journey — our clients, partners, readers and team — thank you for 40 incredible years! Here’s to continuing the story together. 🥳

Today marks a significant milestone as we celebrate Tad’s 15-year journey with News Link!

Tad has been an essential part of our success, consistently bringing dedication, hard work and a positive attitude to everything he does. As production manager, Tad expertly oversees journalist workloads and deadlines, ensuring we deliver top-notch service to our customers on time. With decades of writing and journalism experience, Tad is always ready to jump in and lend a hand to help complete projects.

On Dec. 6 Tony West, right, was honored on his 25th service anniversary and gifted a Howard Miller mantel clock, presented by News Link’s owner, Pete Ringsmuth. A nod to the company’s history working with railroads, accurate timekeeping was crucial for railroads to ensure safe and efficient scheduling, preventing collisions and delays by synchronizing trains across networks. Howard Miller clocks are known for their exceptional craftsmanship, similar to Tony's work as our quality production manager.
