“I was energized by hearing others’ insights into my challenges.”

That’s what one leader shared after our first Evolving Leaders Intensive. These aren’t your typical leadership seminars. They’re designed to create space for real growth, deep connection, and lasting change.

We’re offering two more opportunities this April:

• Senior Executive Growth Intensive (April 27-29)
• Women in Leadership Growth Intensive (April 30-May 2)

If you’re ready to lead with more clarity, energy, and purpose—or know someone who is—check out the details.

Registration is open now: www.econic.co/eli

Meet Krystal 🙋🏻‍♀️

For over a year, Krystal has been leading Econic’s marketing and experience efforts, bringing creativity, curiosity, and energy to the team.

Her favorite part of working at Econic? “I love how we rally around and root for our clients and for each other. I’m constantly inspired by the wisdom, philosophies, and passion of those I get to work alongside.”

Outside of work, you can find her training for the Austin Marathon, growing her volleyball community, traveling with her husband, or testing out a new recipe.

We’re lucky to have her on the team—thank you for everything you bring to Econic!

We’re excited to share that Community Action has completed its $3.55 million Home for Head Start Campaign, with funds supporting the renovation of its early childhood education center in Lincoln.

We recently had the chance to tour the renovated center, including the “Econic” classroom, featuring bright, big new classrooms and play spaces designed just for the kids.

We’re grateful to have played a small part in making this happen, and it’s moments like these that remind us of the ripples of impact we can make together.

Earlier this month, our Econic team came together in Ann Arbor to focus on our vision for the future. As a fully distributed team, these in-person moments are invaluable for deep collaboration and connection.

A (non-food-related) highlight of the retreat was learning from Ari Weinzweig and the ZingTrain team, whose approach to visioning inspired us and gave us a jumping-off point to explore new possibilities for our team.

One key takeaway was their focus on the future: instead of dwelling on the problem, they asked, ‘What does success look like once the problem has been solved?’ This simple shift has allowed their team to think bigger and move forward.

We’re heading back to our work with that same mindset—excited to move forward with renewed focus as a team.

We’re excited to share that our co-founder, Joshua Berry, will be speaking at TEDxOMAHA!

He’ll address a crucial topic: When we label people in our workplaces or communities as “resources,” “capital,” “targets,” or “prospects,” we risk dehumanizing those we aim to serve. As these terms feed into the large language models shaping our digital world (like ChatGPT, CoPilot, Claude), we must ask ourselves: What kind of world are we perpetuating?

To create better worlds, we must choose our words carefully. Each of us plays a part, and the impact of our choices is profound.

Experience a lineup of exceptional speakers at on November 21st!

Meet Nicole! 🙋🏼‍♀️

Nicole rejoined our team earlier this year and has since brought life to a new program for senior leaders that we’ll be unveiling soon. 👀

Both inside and outside of work, Nicole finds joy in building and playing with new ideas. 💡 Her latest life projects include…

• Designing and building a kitchen table with her partner, Jeff

• Planning a mindfulness retreat with some close friends

• Making art with her daughters

And of course, launching our leadership development program to equip leaders with time-tested and newly emerging sources of wisdom, connection, and mindful growth. (Stay tuned!)

We feel SO lucky to have someone like Nicole on our team. 🫶

Innovation isn’t just designated teams or titles — it’s a culture you cultivate.

Throughout the year, we partnered with different divisions within a consumer goods company to nurture a culture of innovation. Our custom program, rooted in business and psychological research, was designed to drive key behaviors of innovation — including intellectual bravery, experimentation, and psychological safety.

At the heart of these programs was our focus on creating a safe space for both leaders and individual team members to practice communication skills that increased collaboration and self-confidence.

And we found that…

Small-group discussion → offered participants a comfortable and consistent environment to continue learning outside of workshops.

Leadership participation in these programs → helped emphasize the importance of fostering team culture at all levels.

As a result, participants across both divisions were able to attribute to our program improvements in collaboration, communication, and connection. 🫶

It’s amazing what people can do if given the opportunity.

Every quarter, we encourage our team members to self-manage and utilize their development stipend to pursue opportunities that help them grow.

And that, they did! 👏

In 2023, we had team members pursue an executive coaching certification, complete a carbon accounting course, and appear on several podcasts.

(Go Melissa, Eunice, and Joshua!)

To empower our team even further, we aim to sponsor and celebrate individual career- and impact-related goals in 2024. 💙
