This week NTA Members attended the NTCA Legislative & Policy Conference during which they had the opportunity to visit the hill and speak with our Nebraska Delegation on matters that are important to the industry and telecom in our state.

Thank you to our members who attended for the great conversations and to the Nebraska representatives who took the time to meet with our group and listen. We appreciate you!

Way to go Mobius/Hemingford Telephone! We are excited for the work and connectivity to come from these BEAD dollars in the communities you serve!

Tonya Mayer, General Manager; Joni Jespersen, Community Enhancement Director for Mobius; and Patrick Haggerty of Nebraska’s Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program look on as Tonya signs the subcontracts for broadband fiber grants to serve rural Dawes County, including Chadron State Park.
The total BEAD-funded project is $2,827,598. Funds for this project are provided by the Nebraska Broadband Office, including federal Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment grant funding of $1,979,312 (70% of total costs) and private/nongovernmental funding of $848,286 (30% of total costs).
