Lapis Lazuli Services What is Lapis Lazuli? It is a blue stone with gold fleck that represents wisdom, truth and inner peace.

Lapis Lazuli blocks are also used in a popular game as building blocks, which is the exact goal of working with a Life Coach. My name is Erica Buescher and I am the founder of Lapis Lazuli Services. For over 20 years, I have been working in employment services, sales and compliance. Along my journey I have developed many amazing partnerships that have been vital to successful projects. Day 5
We wrap up the week of coaching situations with an individual who is a single parent and they had a job that covers the basics however it wont allow for any real vacations or any unplanned financial issues. They felt stuck and just spinning their wheels.
We discussed where they wanted to be in five years and discussed how it would look to get to to that goal. It would involve some schooling but after some searching, the majority could be done on line after the kids went to bed and every other weekend when the kids were at the other parents house.
There was a lot of fear, loneliness, excitement, and sadness all rolled into this decision so we deep dove into identifying where their true support system was and what happenswhen someone in their circle of support naysays their goals. What was the back up plan to the back up plan if needed and how to be a parent, a student, a bill paying adult, a co worker, a friend and all the other hats that have to be worn in life.
After about 6 months of discussions, they enrolled and decided to just try a class to see how it would play out. After 2 classes were complete, their employer offered them a raise and a promotion which they happily accepted and didnt return to finish the program.

Not all paths lead to where you planned. Most of the time, we encounter unpredictable forks in the road.

Working with a life coach can be one of the best investments you make in yourself, especially when encountering a fork on the road. Life coaches keep you and your journey front and center and to help identify pros, cons, potential unidentified hurdles and more.

Day 4 An individual had been with their company for over 10 years and they had hit a plateau in regards to promotions. The company would pay to get a Masters degree however they didnt know what to get it in.

We spent time looking at active job listings in the area to see what kind of degree were required. They also identified other successful people in the same field to talk to about their thoughts. After a 4 month long investigation, a degree was chosen. During the 2 year long process of writing papers for the degree. There were periodic check ins and reminders of the end goal. Almost a year to the date of them finishing their degree, their company gave them the promotion along with a sizable raise.

Not everyone is on the same path and taking the risk to go back to school can be daunting. Having a life coach to listen and help look at the tangible benefits and potential drawbacks is a great investment.

*Day 3 didnt post as it was scheduled to so I will get it posted now and Day 4 this evening*

Day 3 An individual was finishing up their degree and had an opportunity to move the East coast but they had never traveled out of the Midwest and no one in their family had ever lived out of Nebraska so they felt pulled in two directions.

We discussed pros and cons of what each path would bring and how would they feel in 10 years or 20 years from now if they didnt take the opportunity?

We met twice and had a third meeting scheduled and I got an email at 1am a few days later saying they were taking the job and if it didnt work, they can always move back home. All they needed was the space to talk out the options without all the other family and friend voices.

I recieved an update 2 years later that they were coming back home due to a similar position in Nebraska however they would have never qualified for that job, if they hadn't taken the job on the East Coast first.

New day new Life Coach Situation.
Day 2 Shortly after earning my Masters, I worked with re-entry after incarceration. After people have served their time, they have to come back into society and be productive.

Most of my sessions were spent helping build resumes, job coaching but also listening to their fears about how much the world has changed.
We spent a lot of time looking up their questions in real time, discussing who they can count on when things get difficult and they knew they could always reach back out to chat.

Sometimes, family members would be a part of the conversation because their world was also about to be changed. The ground rules were always the same, give grace when needed and give a safe space to voice fears and encouragement when creating their new path forward.

Everyone goes through some kind of life path change and its always a good idea to have a neutral 3rd party to help plan.

Every day this week I will highlight a life coaching situation I have personally worked with. If it sounds like something you are also dealing with then lets chat.

After losing both parents in a short amount of time, the individual was faced with wrapping up the estate in addition to mourning the loss of their parents. They had no idea how to start sorting throught a life time of memories since their mom had built that house almost 50 years ago.
We spent some time discussing end goals and what that looked like. Then worked backwards to the present. There was a rough time line and a very rough draft of a plan.
Next was identifying what room to start in. They chose the kitchen and started to work from there and when they needed a check in to remind themselves of the path forward and to help see how far they had come is where I came in. I gave them the time to talk and have emotional moments then we would discuss the plan and the time line. There were some changes along the way but that is how all journeys evolve.

Fast forward 6 months, they were able to accomplish their goals and wrapped up everything quicker than originally planned. It is through giving people grace, understanding and patience with a reminder of the goal is the benefit of having a life coach help you through a part of your life journey.
