One grape, a world of expressions.

This Saturday, we’re taking a closer look at one of the world’s great wine varieties, and Crimson Lane owner Tom Herrity’s personal estate favorite, Syrah.

We’ll be pouring Syrah from different countries, regions, and producers, giving you the chance to explore just how differently this grape can express itself from place to place. And, for the first time at Crimson Lane, we’ll be tasting them all blind.

It’s also a rare chance to sip our own estate-grown Syrah alongside bottles from around the world.

Join us Saturday September 12th for a night of tasting, learning, and discovering a few new favorites. A few seats remain!

Details from the first day of harvest 2026 at Crimson Lane.

There’s something special about these first few days of harvest. The dark, early mornings when the first steps through the vineyard and the raising of the nets happen under the light of headlamps. Sticky hands, stiff backs, and the excitement of watching another growing season make its way from the vineyard into the cellar.

These are the moments we wait all year for. After months of work in the vineyard and a growing season that brought its share of challenges, we’re especially grateful to see beautiful fruit coming through the cellar doors.

And we’re only getting started. Next up: Chardonnay!

We can’t wait to raise a glass to harvest, the hard work behind it, and Labor Day weekend with you all at Crimson Lane. We’ll see you this weekend!

Harvest 2026 is officially underway here at Crimson Lane.

On Thursday, we picked our first fruit of the season, Sauvignon Blanc. After a challenging growing season across Virginia, we’re especially grateful to see beautiful, clean fruit coming into the winery. A big thank you to our vineyard team for the incredible work that brought us here.

It’s National Red Wine Day and we have just the wines to celebrate with!

Settle in with a glass and discover the reds of our mountainside estate. From the dark cherry, warm spice, and plush layers of Collina to Parral’s complex savory character and bright red fruit, and the rich dark fruit, violet, and polished tannins of our Petit Verdot, each red from our 2022 vintage offers a different expression of our vineyard. With every sip glimpse into what makes Northern Virginia such an exceptional place to grow red wine.

Veraison is upon us. Across the vineyard, grapes are changing color as sugars rise, acidity drops, and we enter the final stretch of the growing season.
