UPDATE‼️ This week’s issue is now available in most local stores & is making its way to subscriber mailboxes.
🗞️ Since this is National Newspaper Week, I wanted to share this video from The Standard Banner showing what goes into getting a newspaper out each week.
Articles have to be written and edited, ads prepared and every page designed individually. Between those tasks, there are calls and emails to answer, office duties to handle and subscriptions to manage.
Then printing plates are made and mounted on the press. The paper is printed, cut and folded, inserts are added, and bundles are tied and loaded for delivery.
There are 1,800 copies of The Buffalo River Review printed each week, and we are only one of 16 newspapers within the company.
With a printing press, fixing a problem isn’t as simple as replacing an ink cartridge. One tiny glitch to any part can hold up the entire process.
We worked really hard on this week’s special issue recognizing Farmers Day and National 4-H Week. Just like we do every other week. A lot of work goes into each issue in our small office, and it’s frustrating to us, too, when something happens at the press. We want you to have your paper just as much as you want to receive it.
We apologize for the delay. Papers are scheduled to be delivered to our office this morning, and Ella will begin the local delivery process the moment they arrive.
We thank you again for
Your continued patience, understanding and support.
❤️ Kayla & Ella
