At a new construction home inspection and this is what the new neighbors are welcomed with.

Old k**b and tube spliced together in a junction box and then it was ran to one circuit breaker in the main service panel. This is technically considered a double tap. Since k**b and tube is present a professional electrician should evaluate the service.

As a home inspector it is important to think safety first at all times! If enetring a home and you smell a strong gas odor please leave the home and call the gas company.
