If hunting changed your life, don’t keep it to yourself.
For me, hunting lit something on fire.
It challenged me.
Connected me.
Gave me community.
Made me confront fear, failure, responsibility and who I wanted to become.
But fire isn’t meant to stay in one place.
The torch gets passed.
Someone teaches you.
You gain experience.
You become capable.
Then one day you realize you know enough to help the person standing where you once stood.
You don’t need to be an expert.
You don’t need twenty years of experience.
You need something real to give—and enough humility to admit what you don’t know.
Hunting creates unusually powerful conditions for becoming more human—but only if we meet those conditions with attention, responsibility, humility and love.
Then we pass them on.
Mentorship is Conservation.
Take somebody with you.
