Would your hiring team choose the same candidate if every manager interviewed that person separately?
If the answer is unclear, your process may depend too heavily on who conducts the interview.
Casual conversations can feel natural, but they often leave employers comparing different information. One candidate is evaluated on role-specific experience while another advances because the conversation simply felt better.
A structured hiring process gives managers shared questions, scoring standards, and decision criteria. It does not remove human judgment. It helps the team use that judgment more consistently.
Our latest guide explains how to build the entire process in 10 practical steps.

Learn how to build a structured hiring process with role scorecards, consistent interviews, documented feedback, and clear decision rules.

Be honest: Does your company feel held together with duct tape right now🔧

You're hiring fast, but:

→ Onboarding is "figure it out"
→ Policies live in someone's head
→ Compliance is "we'll deal with it later"
→ Your best people are getting burned out holding it together

You're not alone. Most companies hit this wall between 50-100 employees.

The good news? There's a playbook for this.

We put together a guide on exactly what to shore up before things start falling apart.

Because "move fast and break things" shouldn't apply to HR.

Time theft alone costs companies 2-5% of payroll. Most of it is unintentional: early clock-ins, rounded breaks, and just a few minutes of overtime.

Here is the math that changes minds:

📊 100 employees

📊 5 minutes of untracked time per day each

📊 That is 8+ hours per week

📊 Over $15,000 per year at average wages

And that is just one hidden cost.

The companies with healthy margins are not paying less. They are losing less.

In California, a terminated employee must receive their final paycheck immediately—as in, the same day.

In Texas, you have 6 days.

In Georgia, the next regular payday is perfectly fine.

Same situation. Three completely different rules.

This is why "we'll figure it out" isn't a compliance strategy.

Know the rules for YOUR state (and every state you have employees in)!

Understand the complexities of final paycheck laws by state, including deadlines and penalties, to ensure compliance during employee separations.

Do you think you can issue final paychecks whenever it's convenient for payroll? 🤔 In some states, that assumption could cost you big.

💸 We've seen companies hit with waiting time penalties (up to 30 days of wages), interest on late payments, legal fees from wage claims, and state agency investigations.

All because they processed a final check one pay cycle too late. The rules aren't intuitive; they're not consistent, but they are enforceable. Here's what you need to know before your next termination →
