To my friends, family and customers:

I wanted to be open about some recent health challenges. On January 12th, I’ll be undergoing open-heart surgery at Hartford Hospital to repair an aortic aneurysm. It’s something my doctors and I have been monitoring for quite some time, and unfortunately it’s reached the point where surgery is necessary.

After a short recovery period, my goal is to get back to doing what I love — including taking care of the incredible customers who have helped make my business what it is today. Unfortunately in interim, I’m unable to accept any work from potential new customers.

This experience has really put things into perspective. Health truly is everything and no amount of money can replace it. I also have a deeper respect than ever for the surgeons and medical professionals who dedicate their lives to helping others. If you had asked me a year ago, I would’ve said I was a perfectly healthy young guy. Things can change quickly.

Thank you all for the support — it truly means more than you know. And if there’s one takeaway here, it’s this: please go get a heart checkup, even if you think you’re young and don’t need one.

Rodent control isn’t easy — but there are a few things homeowners can do to stay ahead of the problem.

One of the biggest culprits I come across? Air conditioning lines and the gaps where they enter the home. Mice love to squeeze through those openings!
