Yes, you can absolutely book your next group getaway yourself, but should you? 🤔

Here are 5 questions I recommend asking yourself BEFORE you start planning or booking anything:

1-Do I have vetted information from a trusted source that the hotel or resort I’m booking is what it says it is?

2-Do I have confirmation of what amenities and resources are available at my resort or hotel post COVID?

3-Have I looked at the fine print to make sure the tour or travel package I’m booking has no blackout dates and that I understand the cancellation/change fee policies?

4-Do I have a backup plan or someone I can call for advice should anything go wrong while I travel?

5-Do I know I’m truly getting the best prices and the best amenities and perks for my investment?

If the answer is yes to all of the above, then go ahead and book!

Día de Los Mu***os, also referred to as Day of the Dead, is different from Halloween. These two annual events vary in traditions and tone though they are very much related. Halloween is seen as a night of terror and mischief while Day of the Dead festivities unravels over two days in a burst of color and life-affirming joy. The theme is indeed death, but it concentrates on the demonstration of love and respect to deceased family members. In some towns and cities throughout Mexico, revelers don colorful makeup and costumes, hold parties and parades, sing and dance, and make offerings to bereaved loved ones.

Forget the witches and ghouls. 👻🧟‍♀️

To me, there’s nothing scarier than leaving your valuable vacation time up to chance by going off advice you read online. Not only have things changed in travel since COVID, but you just can’t be sure that everything you read online about that destination, hotel, or resort is accurate.

And can we talk for a minute about how hotels and resorts don’t always look like they appear in those photoshopped photos on travel websites?

So who can you trust?

You can trust me! I’ve visited many of the destinations I send my clients to. I perform site visits, and I vet properties. And if I haven’t been to the place you’re interested in, I look to a trusted colleague or partner in my network to vet that place for you.
