A friend referred a new nonprofit founder to me for guidance.

Their 501(c)(3) was approved. But gaining tax exemption from the state proved more difficult - uploads, downloads, language they didn't understand.

Sometimes passion for our mission goes way ahead of us before we realize how complex the documentation can be.
