Stink bugs collect on the sunny side of a house before they come in, usually the south and west walls on warm afternoons. That is the staging phase. From there they work into gaps around windows, siding seams, and attic vents. They do no structural damage, but once a group settles in a wall void they emerge in ones and twos all winter.

The spiders around your porch lights right now are the same ones that were there in June. They were juveniles then. A summer of feeding took them to adult size, and fall mating season sends the large females into the open. It is a visibility spike, not an invasion, though heavy webbing does tell you the insect population around the house is high.
