Making some late-night planter adjustments from 3 hours away. While monitoring planter performance of various machines, I noticed the planting rate wasn’t changing quickly enough on the variable rate zones I created and had sent to the machine. I made an Rx look-ahead adjustment to fine-tune it and made time adjustments for the remaining prescriptions that will automatically sync to the machine. The tractor pulls into the field, and the guidance line, Rx, variety, and various settings are auto-populated without the operator doing anything but confirming the job and steering the tractor.

It's been a busy past 6 months for M&M Ag Consulting. Yesterday was a significant day, marking 7 years since we embarked on this venture. Our mission was to deliver solutions that meet farmers' needs, enhancing their efficiency and productivity. Back then, we had to identify and implement existing solutions that fit our requirements. Today, I just completed my first class on creating and building AI tools to better serve our clients and improve our productivity. The prospect of building custom analytics tools was unimaginable 7 years ago. We're enthusiastic about the future and what the next 7 years will bring!

Today is the day! After many years of this request, we finally have Remote Display Control (RDC) for machines. This will save a lot of time by allowing us to work on displays remotely during troubleshooting or task setup while operator can continue to operate machine or, if machine is parked, they can be doing other things outside the cab. Requires John Deere G5 displays with 25-3 software currently. More uptime, more productivity!

Pretty awesome to see what planter technology can do! Torrential rainfall after planting made getting a stand difficult, but individual row shutoff and double planting in two different directions made it look like an inkjet printer did this.
