Karisma Consulting has a big announcement to share...

We are hiring a new team member, Lindsay Terry, who will serve as Executive Assistant, using her gifts, talents, and experience to support the growth and expansion of Karisma Consulting. I'm thrilled to have Lindsay on our team as she brings a spirit of excellence, creativity, and light in everything she does.

Karisma Consulting will also partner with her business, Divinely Inspired Photography, LLC., in various ways throughout the year - keep a lookout for this information as we get further into the summer.

With over 14 years of professional experience behind the lens, Lindsay Terry serves as the owner and principal Photographer for Divinely Inspired Photography. Her creative vision is deeply intertwined with her heart for the community; alongside her photography, she brings her warmth and patience to the classroom as a Mother’s Day Out teacher.

At the core of everything Lindsay does is a profound passion to see individuals flourish and families experience true wholeness. Whether she is capturing a fleeting, beautiful moment between generations or nurturing a child's early growth, her mission remains the same: to celebrate life and foster connection. Lindsay lives in Arkansas, where her greatest joy and inspiration come from her husband and their four daughters.

Have you ever wanted a deeper understanding of your personality, communication style, strengths, and how you naturally show up in both your personal and professional relationships?

I’m exploring the idea of offering Real Colors training for individuals! This is not my typical business model, but I felt led to offer in the summer, as schedules can be more flexible for some to do this type of thing. :)

Typically, I provide Real Colors training for organizations, leadership teams, schools, nonprofits, and businesses. However, I know many professionals, entrepreneurs, leaders, educators, and individuals may not have access to this type of personal and professional development through their workplaces — and I would love to create an opportunity for you to experience its value firsthand.

Why professionals love Real Colors:

Cost: $75 per person
This is a discounted rate to reduce barriers to having an incredible learning experience. If applied, I guarantee that it will transform your personal and professional relationships!

Includes:
• Official Real Colors assessment
• Training materials/resources
• Interactive training session (approximately 3.5 hours maximum)

To move forward, I would like a minimum of:
• 10 participants for an in-person Little Rock session
• 10 participants for a virtual session

One of the most valuable parts of Real Colors is learning alongside a diverse group of personality styles and perspectives, which creates rich discussion and meaningful insight.

Honored to serve the Executive Leadership Team and Program Directors at Achieve Community Alliance with their quarterly Leadership Retreat this month!

Exploring Emotional Intelligence as it relates to leadership, communication, and working through conflict in a healthy way - while applying our knowledge of Real Colors. A beautiful time of growing in understanding ourselves in a deeper way, and also understanding one another while gaining practical tools to communicate through difficult situations with peers and those we are leading. There were so many "aha" moments throughout the day!

The afternoon was spent on reviewing their Strategic Plan and individual Department Program Plans, which complement the overall strategy. Each Department spent time creating SMART Goals and Objectives for the new year. What a lovely journey this team has been on! I'm so proud of them and truly enjoy walking with them through this process. Dedicated, compassionate, and serving with excellence - I appreciate each one of these leaders.

Did you know 72% of graduates feel only moderately, slightly, or not at all prepared for life after high school? This concerns me.

Many of you are serving youth in a variety of ways through your organizations, and I am so thankful for the good work you do! Some of you have youth and young adult programs that will kick off in the next few weeks as summer begins. Are you incorporating life skills into your programming?

Something I created to provide support for organizations serving youth and young adults, which I have decided to no longer keep to myself. Organizations can contract directly with Karisma Consulting for these services, but a more effective investment is to send a loyal, teachable staff member to receive training to become a Certified Instructor with the Strategies to Thrive Life Skills System! This system includes 11 Life Skills Workshops that can be taught in one-on-one, small-group, and large-group settings within your organization by your Certified STT Instructor! These workshops can be taught daily. You only pay once and purchase workbooks for each participant to document their journey and action plan in each topic area. Strategies to Thrive Life Skills System Workshop Topics are posted below.

The STT Life Skills System is also for those who are rebuilding their life after a crisis - Recovery, Justice Impacted, Domestic Violence Overcomers, and others looking to rebuild their life.

On May 1st, Karisma Consulting hosted The Orchard Ministry Training Leadership Retreat, Cohort 2, in Little Rock. Wow, wow, wow! God showed up in our cozy group as each one arrived with a willing heart and faith to encounter Him. He brought revelation, refreshment, rejuvenation, prophetic insight, clues for our treasure hunt (evangelism), compassionate intercession, words of knowledge, healing, and more! He is so good!

I'm undone! I'm so thankful! This was a full-circle moment, as this has been in my heart for over 8 years. Dreams fulfilled and better than I could ever imagine.

Karisma Consulting was honored to facilitate this session with the Arkansas Community Action Agencies Association - ACAAA (ACAAA) team members last week. What a fantastic group of servant-hearted leaders throughout the state, empowering individuals and families!

One thing we talked about was looking for the "glimmers" in our daily lives to help regulate our nervous system. Those moments that bring joy, peace, love, and safety. These moments can be recalled later through our powerful imagination, recreated in our minds. It is a way to be on the lookout for the sweet moments in life and be intentional in remembering them.

I first heard the concept of a "glimmer" (the opposite of a trigger) from a podcast by Dr. Caroline Leaf. Link in the comments.

The process of building, creating, developing, and writing is not always smooth, easy, or fun. However, I believe it is always worth it!
When you have something God has placed within you... don't hold back. Don't get lazy. Don't waste it! Even if you feel like you are late in your journey, keep going! Keep moving forward with Him! Keep saying, "yes" to Him. He is worth it, always.

There will be setbacks, distractions, and lies of the enemy. There will be those who don't understand or support. You may feel invisible at times. It's okay, just as the thing we are developing is in process, so are we. Ugh, I know, it can be so frustrating and aggravating, we just want to get there. There is something really special that happens in those in-between moments of when we have the vision and when we see the vision come to reality. It's in those moments where we get super refined and rely on Him as our source. We get humble. We get hungry for more of Him. We get tested. We get the opportunity to grow.

As frustrating as it can be, I want all that stuff in just listed. I want all that and more. I want to be made more like Him.
So, to all of you dreamers, visionaries, and creatives... keep going! It's all worth it and part of our journey. You will look back and know it was all a part of your journey.
Then, just when you think you are good, get ready for your next round of refinement.

This coming Friday, on May Day, I will be hosting The Orchard Ministry Training in Little Rock from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm in Little Rock.

This is an intimate, leadership-retreat-style training for those interested in gaining additional tools for evangelism, discipleship, and living a life of surrender to Jesus while pouring out to others. This training is special to my heart as it has been brewing inside of me for years. A space for us to grow together and encounter God together.

If you want to grow with other believers in living rooted in the Word and flourishing in the Spirit, this space is for you!

If you are hungry for more of God, this space is for you!

If you want a safe space to encounter more of God, this space is for you!

If you desire to continue growing in your relationship with Jesus, this space is for you!
