Exciting news!!!

The Strategies to Thrive Life Skills System Instructor Certification, developed by Karisma Consulting, is now accredited by the University of New Mexico. Continuing Education Credits are offered through UNM for professionals who would like to incorporate this benefit into their two-day training.

STT Life Skills System was developed for organizations serving youth, adults, families, and adults with developmental disabilities. This system includes ten hands-on life skills workshops that can be taught in large groups, small groups, or even in one-on-one coaching/mentoring.

For organizations that provide direct services to youth and adults with developmental disabilities, we offer a third day of training featuring nine additional workshops tailored to this population. Karisma Consulting is grateful for its partnership with Achieve Community Alliance in developing and implementing the Strategies to Thrive Day 3 Training!

Rainy days...

Some love these types of days, while others prefer the sun shining.
A great opportunity for self-reflection. Get cozy - even if you are at the office. Take a moment to reflect on your growth. Do you ever stop and recognize all the ways that you have grown professionally and/or personally?

It's in the moments of stretching, when we feel uncomfortable, that growth usually happens. Sometimes in big, obvious ways, and other times more subtly, which we realize months later.

It's okay to be proud of ourselves and celebrate our growth - that doesn't make us prideful. Comparing our past self to our current self reveals the areas in which we have grown.

Perhaps you find yourself more patient, loving, kind, gentle, compassionate, joyful, consistent, self-controlled?
Perhaps you have grown in learning new skills while working?
Perhaps you have set personal goals to grow in different areas of wellness, taken your self-care seriously, and seen the benefits and rewards of feeling healthier?

I encourage you to consider your own growth - chances are, you are cheering your friends and colleagues on in their areas of growth - now it's your turn to recognize your own growth.

Honored to have been invited to the United Way CEO Roundtable this morning to provide a mini-workshop presentation on Healthy Conflict Resolution. I shared a framework that my husband, AJ McMahan, created as a Licensed Counselor, serving clients for 25 years+.
