There was a time when I thought every closed door meant I was being denied.
Now, as I get closer to 50, I can see that some doors were closed because they werenât meant for me.
Some relationships ended.
Some opportunities didnât work out.
Some plans took a completely different direction than I expected.
At the time, I was disappointed.
Looking back, Iâm grateful.
God saw what I couldnât see.
He knew what would drain me, distract me, or delay me.
One of the greatest gifts of maturity is realizing that not every ânoâ is a loss.
Sometimes itâs protection.
Sometimes itâs redirection.
Sometimes itâs preparation.
If youâre facing a closed door today, donât assume the story is over.
It may simply be that God is leading you to a better one.
đ âFor I know the plans I have for you,â declares the Lord, âplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.â â Jeremiah 29:11
