Spring is officially here! In many places across the U.S., we’ve already had a taste of those warmer, and sometimes unpredictable weather days. Across the country, emergency managers are shifting into preparedness mode, running drills, refining plans, and strengthening systems ahead of severe weather and hurricane season.

Spring is when preparedness becomes operational, not theoretical.
✅ Review and update your emergency plans
✅ Test alerts and communication systems
✅ Refresh emergency kits for home, work, and travel
✅ Stay aware of seasonal risks in your area

Spring forward with confidence - stay safe, stay ready!

Andrew Phelps, ACDC’s Chief Operating Officer, was recently featured on the Riding the Wave: Project Management for Emergency Managers podcast, where he shared insights on improving collaboration across emergency management environments.

In the episode, Andrew discusses how stronger coordination, clearer communication, and intentional structure can unlock better outcomes across teams - especially in complex, high-pressure environments like disaster response and recovery.
These are the kinds of conversations that continue to shape how our industry evolves, and we’re proud to see this perspective represented.

This Women’s History Month, we’re proud to celebrate the impact of women who continue to shape industries, challenge norms, and drive meaningful change. As a women-owned firm, this month holds special significance for us. It is a reminder of the progress made, the barriers broken, and the responsibility we carry to keep pushing forward.

In celebration and recognition of Women's History Month, our team had the opportunity to learn from Meira Spivak, an accomplished woman leader who is helping organizations think differently about innovation and problem solving. In her session, “Turn Your Challenges into Opportunities,” Meira encouraged us to rethink how we approach problem solving and to see obstacles not as setbacks but as catalysts for innovation and growth. Her insights sparked thoughtful conversation and inspired new ways of thinking across our team, which reflects the kind of impact we strive for as we continue to learn, lead, and evolve.

Here’s to celebrating women’s contributions, amplifying their voices, and continuing to build a future shaped by bold ideas and inclusive leadership💜

On International Women’s Day, we are honored to recognize women who lead, serve, innovate, and shape the organizations and communities around them.

ACDC is proud to be woman-owned and woman-led, founded with a clear purpose: to create space for women to lead in an industry where their voices, expertise, and leadership have not always been fully represented. That mission continues to shape how we grow our team, how we support one another, and how we show up for the communities we serve.

Across sectors and professions, women bring resilience, perspective, and leadership to the work of solving complex challenges. That spirit of support, mentorship, and shared progress is something we are proud to see reflected across our team and our field every day.
