We’re proud to celebrate Coconino County, Arizona, on earning six national recognitions for excellence in public service from the National Association of Counties (NACo) and the Center for Digital Government, including a NACo Achievement Award for the Dragon Bravo–White Sage Fires Long-Term Recovery Plan (LTRP)!

The NACo Achievement Awards recognize innovative county government programs that strengthen services, improve operations, and enhance residents’ quality of life. This year, Coconino County was recognized for five programs across the NACo Achievement Awards, with the LTRP among those receiving national recognition.

Following the devastating 2025 wildfires across Northern Arizona, Coconino County brought partners and communities together to chart a path toward long-term recovery. ACDC’s Planning and Risk Reduction (PARR) team was honored to support that effort in helping develop the LTRP and its online presence, facilitate community and Tribal listening sessions, coordinate recovery task forces, and translate stakeholder priorities into an actionable roadmap for recovery.

Congratulations to Coconino County on this well-deserved national recognition, and kudos to our PARR team for the thoughtful, collaborative work that helped bring the LTRP to life!

Eight years...countless milestones...one incredible story still unfolding. 💜

Today, we’re celebrating 8 years of ACDC and the incredible people who have made every era possible.

What began with a vision to make a difference in emergency management has become something bigger than we could have imagined. Through every milestone, challenge, and new opportunity, has continued to show what’s possible when competent, caring, and connected people come together around a shared mission.

Through every chapter, one thing has stayed the same - our belief in the work we do, the people beside us, and all that’s still to come.
