Last weekend, 10x People’s Chief Strategy Officer, John Nakamura, volunteered as a judge at the Miss Colorado and Miss Colorado Teen competition — an event that celebrates much more than beauty. It elevates intellect, civic engagement, and leadership.

Axe throwing turned out to be the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of lighthearted competition and great conversations (and bonus: nobody lost any appendages 😎). Shout out to Inner Beast Hatchet House Cary for helping us hit the bullseye with this customer outing! 🎯

From dusting off our air hockey and pinball skills to connecting with fellow honorees, it was a true celebration of what makes Denver’s business community so dynamic.

In honor of tomorrow, our CEO Lisa Marie Maxson is reflecting on why hiring working moms is the smartest business decision she ever made:

"When I started my first business — just one month after having my son — I knew flexibility was key. In 1996, remote work wasn't the norm, and working moms didn't have many options. So, I built a team of women with infants, giving them the freedom to balance work and family.

The result? A powerhouse team that was highly productive, had tremendous job satisfaction and were therefore driven to help 10x People succeed. Some of these incredible women are with 10x People to this day."
