Meet Miss Mia! This 7-month-old Chihuahua short-coat mix is best described as…discerning.

Other dogs? Yes, please.
Humans? Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves.

Mia loves playing with other pups, but she’s shy and nervous around new people. Earn her trust with time, patience and a little space, though, and you’ll discover her charm—just ask our paramedic, Heather.

Mia is looking for a calm, adult-only home where she can set the pace and build confidence on her own terms. We don’t yet know how she’ll do with feline friends.

She’s already spayed, microchipped, dewormed and up to date on her vaccines. Now she just needs someone who knows the sweetest friendships aren’t always instant. Could this be you?
