Please keep Pop’s Family in your prayers. 🙏

I want to start off by thanking all of the people that are part of the Pops Sanitation family.
I also want to talk about what’s been going on behind the scenes with Pops.
In January I took a helicopter ride and learned I had a stroke. This might not sound like a blessing but it was bc they found out I had kidney cancer.
The doctors removed part of my kidney and now I’m kicking pretty high.
Let’s talk about the backbone of Pops, Mrs. Kaila. In 2019 she was diagnosed with thyroid and in 2022 it changed to ATC. They gave her 5 months to live so we went through the radiation and chemo but we were trusting God.
Doctors couldn’t explain why it wasn’t on the test or scans later that year.
In November of 2024 it came back and had spread to her neck, spine and right arm. They tried some more treatment and different things but in Feb they sent us to Texas to see if there was anything they could do.
Long story short she got real bad but every time we would go to the doctor appointment she would say this is there report not the report I’m believing. She got to where she couldn’t hardly walk and use her right arm.
We went back to Texas a couple of weeks ago to do those same test and scans, which she has had over a 100, and when we met with the doctors I was thinking they were going to tell us the worst but instead her words were “this isn’t what I was expecting but we can’t find any cancer anywhere”.
My wife is a true walking miracle.
What does this have to do with our Pops family. Since we were out as much as we were a lot of maintenance and ect wasn’t getting done to the trucks that service y’all. A couple of weeks ago we had 4 of our 5 trucks go down (1 of our trucks is a spare) and I learned the shape of some of our trucks. We order two new trucks and they should be in end of next week.
This past Monday we had 3 of those same trucks go down.
We are working hard to get them up while we’re waiting on parts.
So what does the future look like at Pops. By the end of next week we will have 3 spares and will be back on track to what this company was built for.
In 6 years, 3 hurricanes and what ever else life has thrown at us we have missed less than 10 days of pickup and that including holidays but that’s not expectable.
Sorry for the inconvenience and again thank you for being part of this family.

The Better Question is How Much is Your Time, Money & Lost Opportunity Costs Worth to You?
So many calls or inquiries start with “How much do you charge?” The reality is there is no cookie cutter answer. Everyone’s needs, goals & volume are different. On average, prices range between $300- $3,000+ a month. Clean-ups and Catch-ups will be determined off the monthly volume times the amount of months behind.

But what you should be asking is what is my time worth? If you are spending 10+ hours a month working on your books what could you do with 120+ hours a year devoted to building your business & relationships?
