Today reminded me how small acts can make a real difference.
When the temperature dropped this morning, I checked in on a senior neighbor just to be sure her pipes—and she—were safe and warm. A quick visit, a little preventative care, and peace of mind for both of us.
Cold weather brings real risks for older adults, from frozen pipes to heating issues. A simple knock on the door, a phone call, or a friendly check-in can prevent emergencies and strengthen the kind of community we all want to live in.
Let’s look out for the seniors around us as the temperatures fall.
Often, the smallest gestures have the biggest impact.
Stay warm, stay connected, and keep caring.
