Breaking news! The largest manufacturer of lobster tanks, Marineland, just exited the playing field. Owned by parent company Spectrum, I understand why. The demand for lobster tanks will not increase shareholder value leaving them to focus on bigger brands that will grow the stock price.
LLS is family owned and operated. Small fish, big pond analogy, however as the big fish die off, we grow, or the pond gets shallower, either way we win! David brought a rock and a huge amount of faith to a sword fight and the giant fell! If you will.....call us David.
I personally LOVE being in this space and see a strong future for my team. We're not going anywhere. We're not corporate owned, we're in it to win it by a "putting people before profits, customer first" culture. All in Jesus' name.
Back to my opening statement.....Many Supermarket chains are considering, or have made the decision, to exit the live lobster business. HUGE mistake. Am I biased? yes, but consider the bigger picture. Lobsters have always been and will always be a loss leader. However small as it may be, there is still a market and todays seafood retailer can not afford to push their business elsewhere. A live lobster customer will not even walk in your store if you don't have them, and will take those disposable dollars somewhere that does, or to a local restaurant. Shame on you and your corporate objectives neglecting those consumers!
Anyway, I can go on and on and on. Just know this.....LLS IS the leader in lobster, shellfish, and live fish tank manufacturing, and one of the largest producers of marine salt in the country (2 million lbs last time we counted and growing) So when you're ready......we are to!
