ARRESTS MADE IN HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION



Details:

On 08/15/26, at 11:36 PM, Lodi Police Officers responded to Adventist Health Lodi Memorial Hospital after Roberto Ramos, a 37-year-old Lodi resident, arrived with stab wounds. Hospital staff immediately initiated life-saving measures; however, despite their efforts, Ramos tragically succumbed to his injuries. Lodi Police Detectives responded to the hospital and assumed the investigation.

Update:

Lodi Police Department Detectives have been actively working this investigation, and today at approximately 1530 hours they arrested Nikole Ramos (35) and a 17-year-old male, both of Lodi, in connection with the murder of Roberto Ramos. Nikole was booked into the county jail for murder, (PC187) charges). The juvenile was booked into juvenile hall for murder (PC187).

On 08/24/26 at approximately 9:30AM, Lodi Police Department dispatch received a report of an armed suspect inside McDonald’s (200 W Lodi Ave). Upon arrival, officers heard gunfire from within the restaurant and discovered an employee who had been shot. Officers made their way toward the gunshots, where they encountered the armed suspect, and an officer-involved shooting occurred.

The officers secured the scene and called emergency personnel to assist, but the suspect was ultimately pronounced deceased on scene. The employee victim who was shot was transported to a local hospital, where she is in stable condition.

The suspect has been identified as Jonhatan Anguiano, a 29 year old male.

This investigation is being conducted in accordance with the San Joaquin County Officer Involved Critical Incident Protocol. The protocol investigation involves members of the Lodi Police Department, San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, and the California Department of Justice. At this time, the investigation is ongoing. More information will be released as it becomes available.

At 200 W Lodi Ave McDonald’s, an employee on scene reported that a second employee discharged a firearm once inside the business. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with long hair wearing black pants. Officers are currently confirming whether the discharge was intentional or accidental. Dispatch has confirmed it was intentional.
The suspect is armed and currently holding the gun. The subject has now placed the firearm to his head.
Officers on scene have cleared the area, including the drive-thru where all civilians were removed from their vehicles, and all patrons inside the building have been evacuated. A sergeant is advising The plan is to tactically retreat outside and contain the situation, with officers preparing shields.
Now officers are advising Shots fired. Officers have extracted a victim from inside the building. The suspect is now down. #209

Cypress run in Woodbridge. Woman found deceased in home with possible signs of injury. Deputies responded to a residence near Cypress Run in Woodbridge after a neighbor (retired law enforcement) reported entering through a window and finding an adult woman (name withheld) on the floor near a mattress, cold to the touch with no pulse. The caller reported blood on the bed, possible facial bruising, broken glass in a bathroom, and a lamp on the floor. Fire personnel confirmed the woman was deceased, and dispatch advised the death was being treated as not natural with the coroner requested while officers staged involved parties outside for interviews and cleared the residence. #209

Yesterday, at 11:36 PM, Lodi Police Officers were dispatched to the Adventist Health Lodi Memorial Hospital regarding Roberto Ramos (37-year-old from Lodi), who had driven himself there because he had suffered stab wounds. Adventist Lodi Memorial staff began life-saving measures; despite their efforts, unfortunately, Ramos succumbed to his injuries. Lodi Police Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation. It appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public. This remains an open and active investigation being conducted by LPD detectives. No further information is available at this time.
