This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
I’ve been on the other end of that radio as a Trooper and on the other end of that phone as a private citizen.
I can tell you from personal experience, nothing happens without the person controlling all the chaos through a radio console.
Here in Logan County and across West Virginia, our 911 and West Virginia State Police telecommunicators are the steady voice in someone else’s worst moment, supporting law enforcement, fire, EMS, and most importantly our communities.
They don’t ask for recognition. But they deserve it.
Thank you for what you do.
