More cork bark is available!

We have a handful of awesome cork bark pieces available at great prices. There’s a nice range of smaller pieces that are perfect for fellow tarantula keepers looking to provide tiny tunnels, hides, and anchor points for webbing in sling enclosures.

And if you’ve been eyeing our adorable 1–2” Curly Hair Tarantulas and wondering if we had cute little cork bark hides to go with them — indeed we do!

We also have larger cork bark pieces available that work great for medium-sized lizards like Leopard Geckos or Day Geckos, adult tarantulas, tree frogs, and other enclosure setups needing extra hides, climbing structure, or natural-looking decor.

These cork bark pieces are available in-store only, so stop by the shop to look through what we currently have and pick out the piece that works best for your setup.

Schneider’s Skink Update!

Our presumed male Schneider’s Skink is getting closer to being listed on our Available Animals page!

We’ll be setting him up in a new 4x2x2 enclosure here at the shop. Once he’s finished quarantine, he’ll be added to the website, and we’ll share another update when he’s available.

He’s been a pleasure to work with and is one of the most docile wild-caught lizards we’ve had. He tolerates handling well but stays active and curious once out.

Schneider’s Skinks do best in a well-decorated enclosure with plenty of climbing opportunities and at least 2–3 inches of sand for burrowing.

He’s currently eating a variety of feeders, including Superworms, Mealworms, Dubia Roaches, Lobster Roaches, and Banded Crickets, dusted with Calcium without D3 and Repashy Calcium Plus.

Stop by in-store to check out the other awesome critters we currently have available, including our beautiful YB Pied Ball Python, Pac-Man Frog, 2 young Enchi Ball Pythons, and young YB Het Pied Ball Python locally bred!

We’ll share another update once the Schneider’s Skink is officially listed on the website.

We currently have 1 male and 1 female Regal Jumping Spider (Phidippus regius) available at the shop!

These little cutie patooties have been eating well 1–2x weekly and are currently taking down Medium Banded Crickets. Regal Jumping Spiders are always fun to watch, with their curious behavior, big eyes, and surprisingly bold little personalities.

They are available individually, with the optional upgrade of going home in the Tarantula Cribs enclosure they are currently set up in. A great option if you want to bring one home already established in a clean, display-ready setup.

Stop by the shop to check them out in person, or visit our website to see current availability.

We still have a super adorable Trinidad Dwarf Tiger Tarantula (Cyriocosmus elegans) sling available at the shop!

This little one is currently only around 1/8” max, but it’s already feeding consistently on Banded Cricket pinheads 2–3x weekly. As a dwarf tarantula species, females typically reach around 2”, while males usually stay closer to about 1”, making them a great option for keepers who want a unique species without needing a large setup.

This is a fun one for anyone interested in raising a sling and watching those colors and patterns develop as it grows. Small, beautiful, and definitely not something you see available every day.

Stop by the shop and ask to check it out in person, or visit our website to read a bit more about the species and see what else we currently have available.

We currently have a presumed male Schneider’s Skink in quarantine at the shop. This species is a hardy, active, and curious diurnal desert/semi-arid skink known for its smooth scales, strong build, and personable nature.

Being wild-caught, we always like to give new arrivals time to settle in, adjust, and make sure they’re feeding consistently before becoming available. That said, this guy has been one of the most surprisingly docile lizards to come through the shop — especially for a wild-caught skink!

He is currently eating a variety of insects including Superworms (his current favorite), Mealworms, Dubia Roaches, Lobster Roaches, and Banded Crickets. Feeders are being supplemented with Calcium without D3 and Repashy Calcium Plus as a multivitamin.

While he’s still finishing up quarantine, you’re always welcome to stop by in-store and check out some of the other awesome critters we currently have, including our beautiful YB Pied Ball Python, Whitewall Crested Gecko (locally bred), and a young YB Het Pied Ball Python (locally bred).

Availability will be announced once he has cleared quarantine and is ready for sale.

🐸 Pac-Man Frog Feeding Tip: Variety Matters!

Pac-Man Frogs are known for their big appetite and bold personality, but a healthy diet should be more than just one feeder item.

At the shop, we prefer to offer as much variety as possible when feeding reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates. A varied feeder rotation helps provide a broader nutritional profile and can also help prevent animals from becoming too locked in on one food item.

Our current Pac-Man Frog is a bit on the pickier side, but has been feeding well on Black Crickets, Banded Crickets, Lobster Roaches, Earthworms, and the occasional cut up frozen/thawed minnows.

With past Pac-Man Frogs, we’ve also had success offering Superworms, Hornworms, & Mealworms. Interestingly, most of our Pac-Mans haven’t been big fans of Dubia Roaches — because apparently even frogs have preferences.

Frozen/thawed pinky mice and minnows can also be offered as an occasional treat, with a strong emphasis on occasional. Pinkies & minnows are much more calorically dense than most insect feeders, and many captive Pac-Man Frogs are not active enough to regularly burn off those extra calories. They can be part of the rotation from time to time, but should not be treated as a staple feeder.

Supplements are just as important as the feeders themselves. We lightly dust staple feeders like crickets and earthworms with calcium, while occasional frozen/thawed fish can be paired with an appropriate multivitamin to help round out the diet.

For most Pac-Man Frogs, insects and earthworms should make up the backbone of the diet, while fish and pinky mice can be offered occasionally as part of a broader rotation rather than used as main staples.

We still have a chonk of a Pac-Man Frog available in-store for anyone looking to add one of these awesome ambush predators to their collection.

Stop by the shop to check them out, or send us a message if you have questions about care, feeding, or proper supplementation.

We’re continuing to grow our aquatic dry goods section with a mix of everyday aquarium staples and breeder-friendly favorites!

We currently have Sera Filter Wool 100g bags in stock — a simple, reliable mechanical filter media that’s great for polishing water, trapping fine debris, and helping keep your aquarium looking clear.

We also have the Hygger HG073-S Digital Thermometer available, a compact and easy-to-read option for keeping track of your aquarium’s temperature. A dependable thermometer is one of those basic tools every fish keeper should have on hand.

For feeding, we’ve got a selection of Repashy aquatic gel formulas in stock, including Community Plus, which has quickly become a shop favorite. Repashy gels are a great option for breeders, grow-out tanks, community aquariums, and keepers looking for a versatile food that can be prepared fresh as needed.

As we slowly expand our stocked goods, our goal is to carry both the general supplies every aquarist needs — like filter wool and thermometers — along with more specialized products for fellow hobbyists, breeders, and fish keepers looking for something a little different.

Browse our website to see what’s currently available, or stop by in-store to check out items that may not have made it online yet!
More goods coming soon!
