New aquatic cuties are here — Pink Pumpkin Nerite Snails! 🐌

These little algae grazers are a fun addition for established freshwater aquariums, especially for keepers looking for something a bit different from the usual Nerite varieties. Their warm pink-orange shell tones make them a super cute unique cleanup crew addition while still being peaceful and easy to keep in community setups.

Like other Nerite Snails, they do best in stable, established tanks with good water quality and plenty of calcium content to support healthy shell growth. They can help graze on diatom algae and biofilm, but they’ll still appreciate the occasional supplemental treat like algae wafers, blanched veggies, or other snail-safe foods when natural grazing is limited.

We’ve also restocked a few frozen & live aquatic foods!

Feeder bins are looking a lot better this week!

We’re happy to say Small and Medium Dubia Roaches are back in stock, along with our other Dubia sizes. Whether you’re feeding younger reptiles, picky eaters, or larger insectivores, we should have a size that works well for your setup.

Black Soldier Fly Larvae are also back in stock! These are a great feeder to rotate in for reptiles, amphibians, and other insect-eating animals — especially since they’re naturally higher in calcium compared to many other feeder insects.

As always, make sure you’re dusting your feeder insects at every feeding with the appropriate calcium and/or vitamin supplement for your animal’s needs. A good feeder rotation plus proper supplementation goes a long way!

More Hornwort is available at the shop!
We currently have a few bunches of Hornwort available for $5 each. This is a great aquatic plant for beginners and experienced keepers alike — it’s hardy, fast-growing, and very prolific once it settles into your aquarium.

Hornwort can be used as a floating plant or tucked into hardscape to add extra cover for fry, shrimp, and smaller fish. It’s also a great option for hobbyists looking to add more plant mass to help soak up excess nutrients in the water column. We use it for various breeding projects to provide the baby fish lots of cover and help us manage the nitrates.

Or if you’re looking for something a bit more fishy, we also have various peaceful schooling fish available, including Ember Tetras, Glow Light Tetras, Peppered Corydoras, Golden Dwarf Barbs (current shop fav.👀), and more! Feeder update — crickets are finally back in stock!

We currently have Banded Crickets available in-store and online, along with Small Black Crickets back in stock as well. Crickets are a great staple feeder option for a wide variety of insect-eating reptiles, amphibians, birds, and invertebrates.

We also currently have extra small, large, and extra large Dubia Roaches available, with small and medium Dubia Roaches expected to arrive later this week.

In addition to Crickets and Dubia Roaches, we also have:
• Superworms
• Mealworms
• Hornworms

Orders can be placed directly through the website for in-store pickup or local delivery.

Frozen Tubifex Worms are now in stock!
Tubifex worms are a great frozen feeder to add into the rotation, especially for fish already feeding well on foods like bloodworms or mosquito larvae. They’re a nice option for adding variety and can be useful for fish needing a protein-rich frozen food in their diet.

As always, frozen foods are best fed in rotation rather than as the only food source. We recommend to feed only what your fish will consume in a hour or two and remove any uneaten food as needed before it begins to spoil!

We also still have several other frozen aquatic foods available, including:

• Mysis Shrimp
• Mini Bloodworms
• Brine Shrimp

More cork bark is available!

We have a handful of awesome cork bark pieces available at great prices. There’s a nice range of smaller pieces that are perfect for fellow tarantula keepers looking to provide tiny tunnels, hides, and anchor points for webbing in sling enclosures.

And if you’ve been eyeing our adorable 1–2” Curly Hair Tarantulas and wondering if we had cute little cork bark hides to go with them — indeed we do!

We also have larger cork bark pieces available that work great for medium-sized lizards like Leopard Geckos or Day Geckos, adult tarantulas, tree frogs, and other enclosure setups needing extra hides, climbing structure, or natural-looking decor.

These cork bark pieces are available in-store only, so stop by the shop to look through what we currently have and pick out the piece that works best for your setup.

Schneider’s Skink Update!

Our presumed male Schneider’s Skink is getting closer to being listed on our Available Animals page!

We’ll be setting him up in a new 4x2x2 enclosure here at the shop. Once he’s finished quarantine, he’ll be added to the website, and we’ll share another update when he’s available.

He’s been a pleasure to work with and is one of the most docile wild-caught lizards we’ve had. He tolerates handling well but stays active and curious once out.

Schneider’s Skinks do best in a well-decorated enclosure with plenty of climbing opportunities and at least 2–3 inches of sand for burrowing.

He’s currently eating a variety of feeders, including Superworms, Mealworms, Dubia Roaches, Lobster Roaches, and Banded Crickets, dusted with Calcium without D3 and Repashy Calcium Plus.

Stop by in-store to check out the other awesome critters we currently have available, including our beautiful YB Pied Ball Python, Pac-Man Frog, 2 young Enchi Ball Pythons, and young YB Het Pied Ball Python locally bred!

We currently have 1 male and 1 female Regal Jumping Spider (Phidippus regius) available at the shop!

These little cutie patooties have been eating well 1–2x weekly and are currently taking down Medium Banded Crickets. Regal Jumping Spiders are always fun to watch, with their curious behavior, big eyes, and surprisingly bold little personalities.

They are available individually, with the optional upgrade of going home in the Tarantula Cribs enclosure they are currently set up in. A great option if you want to bring one home already established in a clean, display-ready setup.

We still have a super adorable Trinidad Dwarf Tiger Tarantula (Cyriocosmus elegans) sling available at the shop!

This little one is currently only around 1/8” max, but it’s already feeding consistently on Banded Cricket pinheads 2–3x weekly. As a dwarf tarantula species, females typically reach around 2”, while males usually stay closer to about 1”, making them a great option for keepers who want a unique species without needing a large setup.

This is a fun one for anyone interested in raising a sling and watching those colors and patterns develop as it grows. Small, beautiful, and definitely not something you see available every day.
