On this Earth Day, I’ve been reflecting on the relationship between land, stewardship, and the choices we make as an industry—and the role wine can play in shaping a more resilient future.

Wine may be one of the most delicious ways to experience ecology. 🍷🌿

Every bottle reflects a living system — soil, climate, biodiversity, and the human stewardship that shapes how vineyards are farmed.

On March 26, I’ll be speaking at the Permaculture Salon hosted by the Viola Gardens Art & Ecology Studio in Malibu, alongside Jessica Viola, Founder of of Viola Gardens, and Dylan Boekon of Boek House and Husbandry.

Together we’ll explore the intersection of wine, ecology, biodynamics, and regenerative agriculture, and how these ideas shape the way we farm, taste, and think about the land.

As this year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on what unfolded — a year rooted in soil, sweat, celebration, and milestones I once only dreamed of.

From the launch of and first full year of regenerative and biodynamic farming, to my WSET Diploma graduation in London, stepping into leadership roles, and deepening my work in sustainable stewardship — 2025 pushed me, humbled me, and expanded me.

To everyone who supported me — friends, colleagues, mentors, and this amazing community — thank you. Your belief, guidance, and encouragement carried me through this year.

Presented by Ian Blackburn in partnership with , this elegant event brings together over 40 Pinot Noir producers from around the world for a night of tasting, connection, and purpose.

Chiara will lead a thoughtful discussion with acclaimed winemakers, bringing her unique perspective as a sommelier, wine educator, and co-owner of Groundstar Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills.

Pinot Noir has always held a special place in Chiara’s heart—and this full-circle moment celebrates her journey from wine professional to vineyard steward and advocate for mindful wine.
