LOVARC is looking to hire Direct Care Staff for La Paloma Group Home for disabled adults. We are looking for someone who is reliable, friendly, caring and will cover evening shifts from 2pm-9pm Mondays, Thursday, Fridays and some morning shifts Saturday and Sunday from 5am-9am. Starting pay is $16.75- $17.75 + DOE. We provide all training and CPR and First Aid Certifications. Screening includes reference checks, pre-employment physical, fingerprinting and a drug screen.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare meals and ensure dietary needs are met
- Respect and uphold resident rights and privacy

Qualifications:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with transfers
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

We are hiring for a Cook!

Some responsibilities include:

Follows recipes and or production directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting and baking. Variation to recipes needs to be discussed with the Executive Chef.
Cooks a variety of food including but not limited to pizza, burgers soup and salads on the cafeteria line in front of our customers or follows Space Force recipes to create entrees in the kitchen.
Cleans and sanitizes work area and kitchen equipment.
Label time and date on all leftovers, storing them accordingly to military guidelines.
Skills:

- Experience as a cook in a professional kitchen
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

The Storeroom Clerk performs supply work including placing and receiving orders, mandatory inventory counts every two weeks, use of pallet jacks to receive deliveries 3x's a week. This position is very physical and in a fast-paced work environment. Computer skills are required including Microsoft word and excel. Must be able to pass a Vandenberg Space Force Base security clearance. Ability to read, write and speak English is preferred. the work is non-sedentary, requiring walking, bending, stooping, lifting and carrying items 30lbs repetitively and occasionally 50lbs with a partner. This is a cafeteria style like environment. The facility serves 3 meals a day/7 days a week to Military, Civilians, Cal-Fire training groups and GYA students. Must have transportation. Last week I got to visit our CSLO Dining Facility.
Lunch there was excellent on the menu was: SM Tri-tip, SM Chicken, Ranch beans, Veggies, Salad, Pasta salad, Fresh fruit, and a great variety of desserts!
All food is freshly made by our Cooks!
Thank you staff for such a great meal!
