I spoke to dad two times today. He has been trachea free, walking and eating anything he wants for about a month now. We find lots of peace and hope in knowing he is getting back to living a somewhat normal life again. Hopefully he will be home soon! Thank you lord for the blessings you bestowed upon my dad and family. We are truly grateful and blessed❤️🌻❤️🌻

It was really good to hear your voice yesterday for the first time in a long while dad, especially not knowing if we would ever get to hear it again. You finally had your trachea taken out on Monday, March 23rd. ❤️❤️❤️❤️😇

Today’s updates on dad (11 March 2026):

He has been downsized to a smaller trachea. If things continue to progress the way that they are, he should be trachea free in a few days! He is currently restrained to the bed but he will be free once the trachea is removed. He has been off the ventilator for roughly a week now breathing on his own!! He has a trachea collar that provides small amounts of oxygen. He isn’t as anxious as as he was and has been doing very well on his medication. He enjoys watching tv but he is not a fan of the curling sport. He just started on getting small amounts of water. He isn’t ready for solid foods yet but the hope is soon once he works up those muscles. He has some confusion as to where he is and why.

He went from his death bed, to well on his way to a rehabilitation center. Blessed beyond measure 💛❤️💛💛❤️❤️

One of the most beautiful and compassionate souls I know went to visit our dad on Thursday, March 5th. Her name is Donna Baker❤️🌻 The truest people show up without hesitation. She is always there for our family time and time again and does anything she can to help. We adore her for it. We love you Donna Baker💕 Her update is that Pt just upgraded him. He sat up in a chair today and watched tv without pain.

Dad's progress is truly remarkable - he's now breathing on his own and has been successfully weaned off the ventilator for 8 hours, with plans to go back on at 3:30pm today; he's even communicating with the tracheal attachment, and would be thrilled to see visitors if anyone is available, God is good 💛
