Local authorities have just confirmed that the body found in the woods near exit 49 today likely belongs to Joseph Couch, the "I-75 Shooter" based on articles that were found with the body, including a weapon.

MOST RECENT UPDATE:

Please avoid highway 25 between Livingston and East Bernstadt because this individual has still not been apprehended and that area is one of the main focuses. Do not panic, but please stay home and lock your doors while being on the lookout and remaining vigilant. Let law enforcement do their job and report any sightings to 911 immediately! The last reports we have heard say that his vehicle was found a few hours ago with an empty gun case and he is currently on foot. He was arrested earlier this year for terroristic threatening and today supposedly purchased an AR-15 with 2,000 rounds of ammunition.

Also, do not believe everything you have heard on Facebook or other sources. There have been lots of false reports. Currently there have been no fatalities directly related to this active shooter situation, but there have been multiple injuries.

Please share if you are in the Eastern Kentucky area. This is related to the current active shooter situation near Livingston, KY.

Joseph A. Couch is a 32 year old white male approximately 5’10 weighing approximately 154lbs.
