More opportunity to fulfill our mission, invest in businesses that can create jobs. So proud to serve SE KY.
Fahe and three organizations in our Member network are receiving $4.081 million in new funding from the U.S. Treasury's Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund. This money helps us do more of what we do best: connecting communities to the capital and resources they need to thrive.
Here’s how the funding breaks down:
Fahe: $1.25 million
Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation: $1.25 million
Redbud Financial Alternatives (connected to Fahe Member Housing Development Alliance): $800,000
Community Ventures: $781,000
For Appalachian communities, this means more lending power, stronger reserves, and more ways to turn investment into homes, businesses, and opportunity. Fahe President Sara Morgan said it best: “These awards represent an important investment in the organizations that know how to put capital to work in communities that have historically had less access to it.”
We also celebrate the many close partners recognized in this round, including Appalachian Community Capital, Housing Assistance Council, LISC, and Reinvestment Fund. A connected network moves resources further, together.
