Fire Prevention Week • October 4–10

Day 1: Small Batteries. Big Responsibility.

Fire Prevention Week reminds us how to prevent fires and keep our families safe. This year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower.”

Lithium-ion batteries power many phones, tablets, tools, and rechargeable toys. If damaged or charged incorrectly, they can overheat and start a fire.

✅ Use the correct charger.
✅ Charge away from beds, couches, and anything that can burn.
✅ Teach kids to tell an adult if a device looks damaged or gets too hot.

🚨 Smoke or fire? Get out. Stay out. Call 911.

Follow FDLC all week for simple tips to protect your home and family!
