The end is near to this project. Wrapping up the final touches on this project that I have had a blast working on. So much creativity was put into this and me and my client were thrilled on the finished product.

This was a fun part to create. I found this live edge planks off FB marketplace and then found the floating shelf led light brackets off Amazon. Came with a jig and I bought my first router to prep the wood for the brackets.
At the clients home I ran 18g wire at the location I wanted my shelves in the wall back to the switch location.
One of my favorite parts of the building was custom making the mantel and shelves.

Part 4 of this video series shows the construction of the custom mantel with hidden drawer that I built for my client. Starting from a single sheet of plywood I constructed the mantel and drawer box. Using 150 lb self closing drawer hardware to easily access the hidden storage perfect for storing remotes, game controllers, or even a place to hide valuables. With final approval I’ll stain it and start on the floating shelves.

Part three on this video and we are working on some electrical. Jumping off the main 20 amp feed and adding multiple outlets for the fireplace, cabinets and television. Later on I add in can lights and wire in the LED floating shelves. Stay tuned for that part.

Part two on this custom fireplace entertainment built-in. Framing was done time to move on to wrapping this with shiplap. Used construction adhesive and finishing nails to hold items securely. At this point of the project there were many things to consider like electrical, fireplace opening, mantel opening and how I was going to make a hidden door.

I got the pleasure to build a custom fireplace entertainment piece for my client. Part 1 is the framing of this project that evolved from first idea and blossomed into this beautiful hand crafted piece. I loved the opportunity to be creative and work with my clients to make their vision come to life!
