Does not include accessories or repairs. Current model production units only unless otherwise agreed upon. Performance work including any machine work is $450 shipped in the lower 48 which includes tax and insured return shipping. Muffler mods are $50. Performance mufflers are $65-80 depending upon model. Accessories are priced accordingly. Any repair work is at $85/hr with a one hour minimum not

including parts. Saws MUST BE CLEANED AND EMPTY. $50 fee otherwise to get them appropriate for work to be performed. Lead time 8-12 weeks all year long unless agreed upon. New Husqvarna and Echo saws available for order with performance work. All work subject to a liability and work order agreement. Payment via cash, check, money order, or electronic payment services such as Paypal
Due to the nature of two strokes and the various factors that affect them such as fuel mix, carb tuning, operator skill, maintenance- no work is guaranteed beyond the testing and assurance before it leaves our premises. Located in Long Grove, Iowa.

If you're looking for a good set of OEM tools for crankshaft assembly, these Husqvarna tools have been used a ton over the years and come in multiple sizes for the various crank types. Yes, they work on Stihl and others. Very controlled and consistent. You can also make a set if you're handy- there's some videos on YouTube about it.

Might be German engineering (500i) but I think the guy in charge of air filtration must be HR's brother or something. I've never seen such craptastic filtering on a top of the line, $1800 saw professional saw. The 400 and 462, 261 at least get what I think is better in the twist lock version. While most guys flat out won't take care of a foam filter, if you're not running one on a 500 or 661, you're ingesting fines all day, every day. That'll work for a while- but eventually you will pay the piper.

Today was the Strawberry Festival, our hometown celebration so we took the 1945 Farmall to the parade. The girls got to ride on the mini trailer with some friends and toss candy to everyone. Nothing makes me happier than seeing small town traditions stay alive and being involved with our community on an antique piece of equipment that is so richly a part of my state's history. FOR ALL: Every year at the beginning of summer and continuing through the hot months- people start messaging me about v***r lock(hard start, flooding, erratic running etc)- especially in mtronic saws- but also regular carbs and auto tune...
The short answer is, I don't have any miracle cures. Keep it out of the sun. Take extra breaks between big cuts to let things cool off. Ensure your tank vent, gas caps (the o-rings matter!!!), air filter are all clean and functioning. Try relieving cap pressure. You MIGHT try replacing the solenoid if you're having excessive issues but it's likely not the culprit solely.
I've seen milling guys try running re-fuels (not advised for safety) and people trying different fuels, full throttle starts etc... unfortunately I don't have a good, reliable, safe answer... This time of year, saws get finicky so you might want a backup!!! If you have any tricks for your fellow sawyers, post them below!!👇
