Dear SBTRC Community,

Effective January 30, 2026, the U.S. Department of Transportation Northeast Small Business Transportation Resource Center (SBTRC) has concluded operations following the discontinuation of national funding for the SBTRC network after more than 15 years hosted at LaGuardia Community College.

Throughout its tenure, the Northeast SBTRC supported small businesses and partners across the region through technical assistance, capacity-building initiatives, and programs such as the U.S. DOT Bonding Education Program, helping firms compete for transportation and infrastructure opportunities.

As we pause to reflect during this season of gratitude, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you — our clients, stakeholders, and community partners — for the trust, collaboration, and dedication you have shared with us throughout this journey.

It has been a true honor to serve alongside you as Regional Director of the USDOT Northeast Small Business Transportation Resource Center (SBTRC). Over the past five years, our team has had the privilege of supporting thousands of small businesses, helping them build capacity, strengthen their foundations, and pursue opportunities within the transportation and infrastructure sectors. Your resilience, vision, and partnership have been the heart of this work.

As we approach the completion of the SBTRC program mission through 2025, we do so with deep pride in what we have accomplished together and sincere gratitude for the relationships we have built along the way. The impact created belongs to all of us.
